My eyes have been dry for a year or so. Well not really dry. They tested me for tears and I produce plenty.
They tried me on restasis but it did not do any good. I have a messed up nose from a wreck, is it possible my tears are draining into my sinuses? Or is this just nothing. I use eye moisturizing drops all the time and eye ointment at night. what else can I do? Can anything be done to fix this problem? Have you ever heard of such a problem?

I would recommend an eyeMD or a cornea specialist.  You can find one on AAO.org and search your city.  Good luck.  You may need more than one eye specialist given your other conditions.

What kind of eye doctor do you recommend? Ophthalmologist,  Neuropthalmologist, or what other kind of doctor would be good for me. I suffer with the simulated dry eye problem, undeveloped macula, and a host of weird things I see. Any recommendations?
Thank you for your answer and if you can tell me how to see the doctor directly without going through all the preliminary stuff, nurse asst, prodding etc. Thank you for any advice.

When I go to an eye doctor for a medical reason. All of his or her little helpers always like to paw over me when I just want to see the doctor. How can i politely tell them to bug off and let me see the doctor?

There are many causes to the feeling of dryness of the eyes.  There are three components of tears.  Changing any one of them can lead to the sensation of dryness.  Over the counter medications as well as systemic medications can also exacerbate the symptoms.  I would recommend seeing an eyeMD for further testing and treatment.
