I am 63 year old male suffering from severe pain in the the front thigh joining the right leg went to ortho who took xray and prescribed pain killer and medicine to smoothen the muscle 3 days it did not help much but I realized I was having severe gas then I took 5 pieces of garlic put in microwave for .30 seconds then ate and drank the water it gave good relief.
Sorry, I cannot help, but I can tell you that I am a 70 yr. old woman with no gallbladder and have the same problem. It started a long time after I had the gallbladder removed, so it's hard for me to think they are related. I sometimes got these pains in the lower back, but did not see any other signs that may have been the kidneys - now I experience it in my right groin and a bit into the leg. The pain causes me to limp at times. Putting manual pressure on the areas that hurt cause burping and some diminishing of pain. Moving around also seems to cause the burping and pain relief.
Since the pain is worse after I've been still for a period, I have taken to go on walks, about a mile, each morning - this helps a great deal.
I just can't figure out how gas is escaping my digestive tract to travel elsewhere in the body. If there was a leak you'd think you'd have much more severe problems.
