Somethings wrong, what should I do?

Hey,

Well pretty much I've had a long history of my penis not working quite right... I am 16, male and, seemingly healthy. From a young age to about 14 or 15, I would urinate in my sleep without waking, and it grew less sporadic until it was not really occurring, although my control is still very low... I can't hold in long, and often I still feel in danger of urinating when I don't want to because I can't hold it in as long as I really should. I sometimes still wake up urinating.

Sexually, it is also bad. I've never had sex but, well, I'm 16 and my libido is very low. I think it has shrunk, but I can't tell for sure. I have no real urge to have sex, which is really bad considering, and my penis really lacks sensitivity. Masturbation, which I try because of knowing I should want to rather than actually wanting to, is not pleasurable and I have not yet managed to ejaculate. Sure, I get an erection, but it is fairly weak and flaccid, and fades away. I still have wet dreams (I don't wake up during them, not sure whether I'm supposed to or not) but I can't cause myself to really do that when I'm conscious. My penis doesn't really have any sensitivity. This could well all add up to erectile dysfunction.

A few background things. Maybe unrelated, maybe not. From a very young age, I sort of "played" with my penis. It wasn't masturbation, i.e. I wasn't consciously trying to achieve anything, it was was just a habit, and I did it a lot for many, many years. Also, when I was around 8 or 9, I accidentally cut my penis when horsing around. I can't remember where - it could have been either the foreskin or the glans. Either could have really cut my penis sensitivty somehow.

Look, I haven't had sex and biologically I don't seem to want to. But I want to want to, I want to have the ability. I am, seemingly, a very fit and healthy 16 year old male. Sorry for this being really awkward, but given this array of problems, I just want to know: any clue what is wrong with me? I am quite afraid (maybe paranoid) that I might have a serious prostate, bladder, or some other urological problem.

What should I do about this?

Hi

I am sorry no one responded to your earlier post. Yes, you should be concerned, especially since these problems should not occur at your age.

There has been a similar discussion on this forum. I’ll give you the links. Please go through them and let me know if you have more questions.

You could also be having a urinary infection, diabetes or some nervous disorders affecting the pudendal nerve that supplies the penis. Excessive playing with the organ too could have causes some kind of injury to the nerve.

However it is difficult to diagnose without examining. You should not ignore the symptoms and see your doctor immediately.  Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted.
