Very scared

Hi, my name is Tyler and I have been engaging in unprotected anal sex (Yes, I am gay lol) I know this is the wrong thing to do, but when the heat of the moment arises I always forget about protection and end up having sex... So... my question is--I am experiencing itching not on the outside skin of my anus but about 1 cm inside... I was starting to get really scared so I ran to the bathroom and with the help of a mirror I checked everything out... I didnt see anything TOO bad, but it felt like either a cut or something was there and it was sensitive to the touch, and almost felt as if it were a bump, but more on the just irritated/swollen side. I dont know if it is anything that is related to any kind of STD but it does itch and its sore and I have had sex with probably 4-5 guys within the last 2 months, one just recently--so im trying to think, is it possible that I got something? Is it possible that he just irritated the lining of my anus? Or maybe cut it with a fingernail or something? Also, im only 17 years old so im wondering is it even possible for me to contract anything serious, because most really serious STDs like Syphillis for example affects men aged 35+ right?
-God I hope its nothing serious :[
Thanks for any light you can shed on this.
-Tyler

Its not really itching as much anymore which leads me to believe its not anything serious but I hear you can break out with herpes or hemorriods just like with hives and it can cause itching for an amount of time... i'll keep an eye on it and I scheduled an appointment with my doctor for friday so we'll see for sure, I really really hope its nothing serious lol.

Hi there -

There are no age limits on stds, hon.  Anyone having sex can get an std, and teens are actually far more likely to get stds than people in their 30s and higher.  Depending on the study, anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 of teens have an std.

You could have a little tear in your anus, but it could also be a herpes sore or even a hemorrhoid.  I would strongly urge you to get this checked.  You can go to an std clinic and they will do the testing you need, and at 17, they can't tell your parents.

Since you seem to get lost in the moment, how about just a little pre-planning?  Put a condom in your pocket or wallet before going out, and then you'll always have one.  I do have to wonder though - I'm guessing you are using lube for anal, so if you are prepared for that, why aren't you prepared with condoms?

When you go to the clinic, ask for an HIV test as well.
