I have had a heart flutter as long as I can remember and one method to get back in rhythm is too cough deeply from your diaphram, short and hard, same method doctors recommend if you feel a heart attack coming on. I have been doing this since i saw it on internet 10 years ago and it is very effective at resetting your heart. Or hold your nose and breath hard against it.
Hello all,
Strange, but when I move around, walking,or just doing something,my heart is fine.but once I relax...I get these flutters, almost every 2 to 3 minutes.this has happened to me for the last 3 days now...for the past 2 weeks,I've been traveling to different Islands working in the evening.and during the day, enjoying the sun.swimming in the Ocean,BBQ,drinking a little Beer, and Wine.but I didn't have this problem until the next couple of days, after my trip....Could it be I'm just exhausted from the heat, and intake from everything else I indulged???
Try deep breathing for a few breaths, don't hyperventilate. There may be other exercises that may help...we can wait and see if others who have ideas will read your post.
I also suggest taking an aspirin a day (or a half aspirin or baby aspirin) with a meal. I take a half aspirin each morning with breakfast. Some people develop stomach problems from aspirin, but taking with food usually eliminates, or minimize - so be careful not to keep taking if it upsets your stomach.
More information may also help us connect on your problem: what is your heart rate at rest, is it regular, does the HR related in any synchronized way with the flutter you feel...just some thinking of things that may help get more helpful input.
