Ive been thinking about the people here on this forum and wanted to know why the most careing,helpful,truly good people with big hearts are willing to talk to strangers and give there personal stories to people they dont know. yall are some incredable friends, i wish i knew yall in the world. we have banded together to form Recovery that some people will never understand. something to think about?Hope and prayers Clay TX

I feel the same way!  Wouldn't it be nice if we could all get together in a big room and just detox together!  I guess this is kinda like that tho!

I don't think I would have had the guts to get off the fentanyl patches without the good people here. I have read your posts, but have never really "talked" to you. We all are addicts, as you said, and our goad is to get clean. I think we get the best support from people here because they're going through the same thing. The bond is strong and we miss people when they stop posting. When we see a member reach their goal, we're happy for them. It's like a big family.

I feel the same way sometimes even when i am typing to someone I dont know.. I guess its our way of not feeling alone... banding together to fight.. I am sure people with other disease do the same thing.. Look at all the women with breast cancer.. they become one anothers families.. Its our common goal to recover..we can only do it together.. taking our selfishness and turning it into selflessness and giving ourselves to othes..
