I just want to put this out there.

If you are an addict, Boredom is the first step to relapse. Keep yourself occupied. If you feel you are going to relapse, take a jog, clean the house, chat with someone even. Keep your mind off of it. Make sure you try to get out as much as possible after the physical wd's are over. The anxiety might keep you from doing it, but you just need to push through it all.

I am not sure if this is anybody's cup of tea but, this song motivates me and keeps me going. Especially when I am not motivated to workout.

Terror - Overcome

Download it.

I hope this helps.

MOVE!  it is an enemy of the demon called "craving'

by Cassie415, Sep 09, 2009 02:09AM
i so do agree with this. Anytime I have even a few spare hours, even minutes sometimes, i'll immediatly start thinking about how i could fill this time doing drugs etc, it's crazy and so annoying. Boredom is a huge trigger for me. Thanks 4 this post

Well said brother !    Boredom is a killer ! I run everyday and stay away from anything that is an association factor .

boredom is not good. when we get bored you start to look for things to do, when we start looking for things to do, we find "things to do" alright. Be prapared for boredom so when it hits you got a plan!!!

Just want to say that I could not agree more.  Boredom is the NUMBER one thing to cause cravings and slip into relapse for me.  Public enemy number one.

I also agree.  The last thing we need is to be in our head.  Once you start watching your lifes movie or listening to the old tapes that play in your head...you are in for trouble.

Moving, playing, being busy is good.  Not to avoid life, but to avoid relapse.

GET SUPPORT!!!  If you are standing still, you may be in trouble to fall backwards!
