all I keep reading is the misery that comes with 10mg brickwall  Is any one under 10mgs??? If so, share please

It isn't easy but can be done.  I've come off oxycontins and I'm gone through the worst of the w/d, still can't sleep and in a lot of pain which started me on this journey.  I'm just really happy I didn't go on methadone, I always thought it was a "cure" for heroin addiction but apparently it just makes you a functioning addict which for some though is the only thing that keeps them off the street and safe from disease.  Good luck and God bless, you've found a good place with a lot of answers.........

I am 68 days off Methadone and it has taken three attempts to get to this point. it is 'NOT' an easy drug to get off of. I am still having slight withdrawal symptoms but nothing like it was in the first 2-3 weeks(major insomnia). I pretty much jumped off at 10mg but did take 5mg for one day then stopped but believe it could have been easier had I tapered down even further with the liquid. I was impatient and just ready mentally to be done with the 'DONE'  and was finally ready to stop and face the W/Ds head on.
Can I ask why you have to jump off at 10mg? Can your PCP not taper you down slowly? That would be the best advice I can give you, the slower you taper, the easier time you will have I believe. It will NOT be easy regardless, but you 'CAN SO DO IT'.
They say that Methadone is one of the hardest drugs to withdraw from much harder than even heroin because the half life of Methadone is so long and it deposits itself in your fatty tissues and bone marrow.
