The bottom line is that the effects of narcotic use lasts well beyond 2 weeks. The initial withdrawal symptoms last about 2 weeks but after that is a longer period of lethargy and depression. You've done great getting to where you are now. You must push through the lethargy. It DOES get better. You may not notice day to day but each week will clearly be better than the one before. NeverAgain127 and Motye51 have been there. They've posted excellent advice that will help you. You should be able to function now but its not going to be much fun. In 3 months you are going to feel near normal and at 6 months you probably will not be able to identify any lingering issues. Congratulations on what you've accomplished so far. This is no easy thing to deal with. Its takes real courage and determination to be successful. Good luck on the rest of your journey. I look forward to seeing posts from you, guiding others to be narcotic free.
The short answer to your question is: they last as long as they last. Everyone is different; some folks feel tons better at 10 days, others don't turn a corner until later.
I felt better after day 14, but at day 30 developed a cough that lasted 2 months. And even at just shy of 10 months, I am struggling with sleep. I go many nights with almost none.
Everything that folks here have listed will help you move the w/d's along...sunlight, water (LOTS of water), exercise, keeping busy, etc.
Keep up the good work!

Your totally on the upside! Keeping pushing forward. Each day will get better and better then your going to wake up one day soon and rejoice on how great you feel and how great Clean life is!
I agree w Motye... Exercise works wonders. I understand you may not feel 100% up to it but if you can force yourself to do a bit each day you will notice your energy levels increasing.
Keep up the great work and keep posting!!
Your totally moving in the right direction.....it's not going to be perfect in 14 days....you will probably still have some residual effects that come and go but each day that passes it will get better. Eat really well, continue to load up on vitamins and gatorade!!!!! Lots of dark green leafy vege's and red meat! Doing some excercise will help you feel better quicker as well....of course we're usually dragging *** at this point, but even a short walk will help. Sitting in the sun helped with mood swings as well.
Keep pushing yourself forward.....NEVER looking back!
I was taking 2 30mg Roxys every day for about 8 months. And thanks i feel so much better than I was feeling. Just hate going through these withdrawals, but it will be worth it in the long run. I also quit taking them cold turkey.
Good for making it this far. What were you taking and how much? Asking so I know about myself. Hang in there.
