cold turkey or cutting down

oxycontin..  is it best to go cold turkey and feel like crap and go thru the motion. .or best to just cut down  half  each week???

I have done both from percoset.tapering was much better but a lot longer.from 3 10s a day cold turkey didn't eat or sleep for 14 days.never got my appetite back even after 10 years .once. I got down to to taking halve of 5 three times a day got prescription  of 2.5 and cut them in halve then I jumped and had 5 rough days but nothing like cold turkey.quite on Aug 19 2023 around 150 days.still in pain but at least not looking at clock waiting for my next pill.it mite take a couple months to do it don't put yourself under to much pressure go down slowly.xanax and muscle spasm baclifin and nurontin helped to get rid of anxiety  muscle spasms and nurotin for nerve paini.that covers most of sympton of withdrawal.good luck.

My question would have to be have you tried tapering before?  And if so, were you sucessful?

Cold turkey is misery. Try to cut down if possible.  I went to suboxin and very lightly. Really helped.
