Blood pressure after getting clean

Has anyone ever experienced elevated blood pressure after getting clean?  Went to the gyno today and my heart was beating was through the roof...but I went there for years while doing pills so my blood pressure used to be low and that is what they are looking at too. Well, I just finally quit smoking cigs and I am on day 5 of no weed.  I pray that these two things will help.  I have been slacking on exercising for the past month so I guess I am back in the gym too.  Its weird though-- I can run 3 miles and be fine but going to the gyno makes me soooo nervous that I feel like I am going to have a panic attack.  It is probably because I had to go get my annual done less than a month after I quit pills and my heartrate was elevated due to that.  Well, she started "Watching" my blood pressure then and only giving me one month of birth control at a time...thus, forcing me to go there every month instead of once a year!  It is sooo horrible.  I hate going to the doctor and it creates sooooo much anxiety.  Now that I am home I am totally fine!!!  I am scared!

thanks you two.  yes, i told her it only happened when i came to the doctor.  i don't have insurance so i go to the health department and they really aren't very nice or compassionate.  i was way too scared to tell her about my addictions so they are clueless about that.  i really wanted to tell my real doctor but i was afraid that i would have my daughter taken from me.  i am just going to check it weekly and not smoke.  i hope it goes away...i guess only time will tell.
