A good report from the dr.

by Yoda99, May 30, 2007 12:00AM
Well friends, I'm back from the doctor.  Bronchitis is gone and no wheezing.  Ankle is good.  Still on the Wellbutrin but it seems those bad side effects have gone away.  He still wants me to take the Elavil at night because he says that will help my leg and back pain.  Blood pressure is good.  Wow, I can't remember the last time I got such a good report.  I'm tired out from all of this good news, and I think I'll take a little nap.  Otherwise mom Lizzie will have me cleaning toilets.  haha
Love you all,
Yoda

Good news!  Elavil has a strong antihystimine in it and for me it's lights out at night... funny part is, if I take it and and antihystimine sleep aid, I get RLS because of the too much factor.

Hi,
I'm happy you're feeling better. I knew someone said they were put on amitriptyline, but I couldn't remember who. Know I know. lol I have taken elavil for 20 years for depression. It's a very old one, but a good one for people who can't take the newer SSNRI's (think I have those letters correct) It had to be raised over the years to keep it at a theraputic level. I was taking 200mg at bed time for 12 years and it was just upped to 300 recently. The reason it makes you sleep is the sedative in it. I got used to the 200mg and could stay up after I took it. Now when I take the 300mg I better be in bed when they hit or I will fall asleep no matter where I'm at.
Please rest and good luck. The Dr's report was an A+. Well, maybe not quite, but maybe in the future.
Hugs....Connie
