The melatonin (sublingual only) and valerian do work well. or tylenol PM. Mary must have injested a 30lb. turkey to sleep for three days.......lol. Good luck.

Hon, you are gonna make it. Lots of know all too well about the no sleep thing. It is so miserable. I am just now starting to get some quality sleep without ambien or lunesta. Those are also addictive, i have had 3 drs. tell me that. I am taking 1 melatonin 5 mg. at night and 3 l-triptophan and with lots of prayers going up for me, i am so thankful to say I have had two nights of quality sleep. About 5 hours last night and 6 the night before. I think the only reason i woke so early this morning is i have the crud and my nose was completely blocked. That L triptophan is what is in turkey only you'd have to eat alot of turkey to get what the pills have in them. It also says to eat some carbs, just a little bit before taking those. You can do this. Don't give in. Hang on and keep posting. People are so encouraging on here. It has really been a help to me. I am thankful for this site. God Bless, TJack

I can attest to the Melatonin and Valerian Root it helps a lot I got it a GNC I take the root 1hr. before I want to sleep and 5mg. Melatonin 20min. before I want to sleep let it dissolve under your tongue. I only slept 2 to 3 hours a night and not solid this last week I have been getting up to 6 hours sleep and my hubby has even told me I snore, thats new as I never fell asleep deep enough or long enough.
Try Melatonin and Valerian Root. It helps. Sleep can be the last to return. Hang in there it will get better. Also try eating some turkey before bed. (i know it's funny) but turkey has Tripto...something in it that makes you sleepy. After Thanksgiving I slept for 3 days.

Three hours and the wd woke me, JUst had a banana, and green tea in the hope that sleep comes. I'll rock in my rocking chair too. I think this is a comon problem with wd.

Hi, i don't really know what i can say to make you feel any better but when i did my 'turkey' i also found it very difficult to sleep, i thought i was gonna go mad. I feel for you so much, all i can say is this time will pass, honestly. Other people on here may be able to recommend something to help you. Sorry your feeling like this. Take care.
