I came clean off my 3 meds, plus a life time of using and drinking off & on back in Sept 2012. I was on here every single day for almost 2 years until I had to have my Heart Procedure done..The last 2 years have been very sad & hard for me with one thing after another and loosing most of my family too.
I now am feeling a bit better and will be back on because I love to help people.
Just have a bit of a different attitude toward all of this. SO I do not want to come on and be mean about what using or drinking & smoking can do to your Brain/Body Parts on down the line. We are what we eat but we are what we abuse too..Lots of damage can be done when we abuse our body in any way..SO be nice to your Temple because you only have it one time here on earth..Living a Clean/Sober life will help you on down the road..Want to Live a good Life then be kind to your Soul.
Also many do come back in the Winter..I have been busy with many things that need to get done before we get 4-7 feet of snow..Wood is the main thing right now..lol
Bless
I'm still here! Got clean on sept 16, 2013. 11 months free from pain pills. :)
I stopped using Hydrocodone Oct 14, 2013. Still clean except when I had surgery last month. Back surgery. Since October I've made many, many friends on here. The Lord and my friends here have helped me stay clean through the depression. Going through W/Ds helps you to make new friends and be a friend. God Bless and hang in there and count all the friends you have made since you quit and then all the REAL friends you might have made using.
I posted in December 2013. I stopped using 27th November 2013.
Im still clean : )
I think she is asking if anyone who was posting in 2013 are still here. I have noticed in the last several months many have stopped posting. Doesn't mean they relapsed. May be busy with Summer and life.
I began clean time July 2013 and am "on again, off again" here on MH but have not relapsed. However, my program is every day.
I don't worry about being too boring or if anyone replies to what I say. That is not important. What is important, in my opinion, is whether I am sincerely trying to help either myself with a question, or someone else with some of my experience. I just try to be courteous and mindful of other people's feelings.
And no matter what, it is nice when people DO come back, being gone for whatever reason. We are all related by kinship against a common enemy, and diversity among us as soldiers in that regard, makes us powerful against Addiction.
I don't get this either..I see soooo many threads not outdated necessarly but have 1 or 2 comments and none again from the poster..I have read all them on here and try and follow them but many don't come back r they relapsing? I posted a couple times I got maybe a total of 4 people posting on my thread..The 1st one I thought was too long so I just started another w a question and been updating on it b UT nothing..and nothing from the names u see that have been "veterns" on here..idk maybe I am too boring I feel like I get more out of reading than posting anyway but it is very hopefully if these people never come back
My first post was June 2012, so you're not talking about me, but I haven't taken an opiate since then. It would help if you were more specific in what you are asking.
Which post are you referring to?
