I know exactly how you feel. Back in 07 I took coriciden a few times then stopped. In 08, I was at the lake with my friend, we were partying and getting drunk, I decided to take coriciden again just for fun.. BAD IDEA! I start to freak out, had shortness of breath, felt like I was gonna die, and could barely function. For a few days after that I would feel weird doing even small things like smoking a ciggarette. After a while it calmed down. It's 2010, and I still get random chest pains and feel like I'm gonna die if I take medicine that even looks like coriciden, such as advil. I start to get really hot, uncomfortable, and nauseus. I'm in the same boat. I'm not really sure if you'll even read this seeing as though your post was in 07. But if you do, I'd like to know if you still experiece this, or if it eventually goes away, I hope I don't have to put up with this forever!
I can honestly say I went through a period of several months of my life where I consumed at least 2 boxes (32 pills) a day. After that period my use slowly went down to almost none, followed by the occasional relapse. I have struggled with addiction for years, even with heroin and cocaine, and coricidin was by far my drug of choice. If you are researching to decide whether you want to try this, do not. My head has never been the same. I have had two suicide attempts, and my arms are cut to hell by self inflicted wounds. I have spent days recovering from 1 high--with hallucinations that almost drove me insane. I heard sounds and saw things for weeks after a high. If you want to know what insanity is and throw your life away, do this drug.
I dont think that this is the problem though, based on personal experiences. Unless you drank pretty heavily.
i used to take these with my friends like a year ago but my friend overdosed on them by taking like 36 or something. He's fine now but looking at him now i can tell it can have long term effects.
Anti depressants are in their own category. Each person reacts to them differently!
See your DR. Let him/her know what is happening. They can prescribe something else.
I would do so asap.
i dont do those pills anymore.i was just wondering if my anxiety is linked to that somehow even though it has been 6 years
Coricidin is a cold remedy recommended for those with high blood pressure. It's over the counter stuff.
Coricidin is like (tylenol cold @flu) what inspired you to abuse this type of medicine. The antidepressant(prozac) in it self may have adverse side effects especially when you (ABUSE)CORICIDIN, with all do respect,THATS CRAZY.Stop doing that non-sense.
what is coricidin, hun? i have not heard of this...i am sorry, hang in there...someone will be along who may know of this and can help you...
have you spoken to your doctor about this? maybe the prozac isnt working for your anxiety?
I am not familair with these drugs. Just wanted to get your post back to the top so others can respond. Hang in there. Mary
