ok after reading some of your entries i feel like a complet DRUG ADDICT!! i take up to 50-60 1000mil(norcos) pills a day 10-15 at one time. its bad i know i wish i could stop i have let this drug take over my life. everyone knows!!! i have lost alot of wait and sometimes i through up and find myself just takeing more. i want to stop i really do i i i just cant ive tryed. takeing less everyday just doesnt work! ive been takeing vics for about 3 1-2 years strait as soon as i just took one 500mil it was all over for me. i have spent a life savings on this drug i love takeing them but at the same time i hate it. i need some help i would go to the doctor but i dont have insurance and i went befor and all the doc had to say was i had to go to detox.i am only 21 and i am ruining my life. there is no way i can do that i have my little girl to look after and it also doesnt help that my wife takes them too!!!!!!!!!!!!! i feel so trapped if someone knows something anything please get back to me

are you sure it's 50-60 a day? I'm scared for you! Tapering has been the best solution for me so far. I'm down from 15 to 2 a day and each day is better and better for me! Do you have parents that would be willing to help while you both got clean and watch your daughter? We all wish we had an easy way to fix our addiction, but we got into this mess and it's up to us to fix it... If anything for your child! I can't wait for soberity!!! It's so close I just get so excited... Tapering is working for me and I pray it works for you! Stay on the forum.... These people have done wonders for me!!! Best of luck.

Yes you are an addict but you are in the right place if you truly want help,like the others said it won't be easy but it can be done and you will be so much better for beating this demon and giving your daughter the father she truly deserves,does your girlfriend want to quit also? I hope so because your daughter deserves both parents clean.We will help you any way we can if you and your girlfriend want to get clean but you have to take that first stpe we can't do that for you good luck to you both

Welcome to the forum.  Yes, sorry to say, but you are a complete drug addict.  You're going to have to make a serious decision and make a commitment to getting clean. Your future will be very bleak if you continue on the road your on. Do you want to loose your daughter, and everything you have? Do you want to die and leave your daughter fatherless?
Sit down with your girlfriend and make a plan of how both of you are going to get clean. You'll need to cut the ties with your dealers or doctors. The people on this forum will support you all the way.
If you go cold turkey, you'll be really sick for about a week and get better each day after. You and your Girlfriend could take turns going thru withdrawals.

I have to say after reading you take 50 to 60 norcos a day and after reading the forum you feel like a complete drug addict. It struck me as odd.. Any way hi I'm Lesa and I'm also a drug addict my last drug was norco.. You are taking a lot to just CT in my opinion.. How much is your wife up to a day and is she at the point that she wants to quit.. I also read where you two have a daughter a good reason to quit along with the beating your liver and kidneys are taking.. The money you spend on your doc you could go into rehab and detox.. Do you have family or friends that can hold you and your wife's meds and hold you to a taper.. You can do this if you really want and we will be here as much as we can for the support you and your wife will need.. I wish you well on your journey.. lesa

First let me say welcome, you've come to the right place. if you can;t taper or go to detox the onlyl other choice is to go cold turkey...there is a thomas recipe that will help. but it is like having the flu for a couple of days. be strong, take it one day at time, post and keep reading post. there will be others on tomorrow or later that can help more.
