The honeymoon of anticipation is over....

Yesterday was my planned c/t day from Vicodon . I am still on task, but not a happy camper. Muscle twitches, runny nose, achey everywhere, shall I go on? Any words of advice or encouragement would be lovely. I'm determined, just forgot how hard this is. Tnx

Thanks for the affirmations in remedys as well as the rewards. It is hard not to get resentful at the whole situation. I mean , if theres a pill that gets you into this mess, I want a pill to get me outta it (crazy, I know, just being honest). I have come to the conclusion that I want this REALLY bad, but would prefer someone else do the work for me.(theres that honesty again).Today will be day 2 and I am hoping for a little relief(?) Knowing there are so many that have walked before me down this road and we so much worse off and MADE it helps so very much. Thank You again Gnarly for your wise words from expierence.

To my dear new friend!! Iam so proud of you! The flu analogy does help to trick the mind a little. I am on Day 10, and that's proof that ANYTHING is possible! When I thought I saw a light at the end of the tunnel in the early days I just realised it was just a train heading STRAIGHT FOR ME!! Now I know the light at the end of the tunnel is bright sunshine and happy days! And I have YOU to thank, YOU got me here. xx Will check on you soon..K.

Thank You, the flu analogy helps. For some reason when something is thrown on you tho, it make you more able to suck it up. You have given me a boost of hope. I was taking 4-6 each day for 4 years. I have stopped for a few days over the years and would get sick. It took me awhile to connect the dots and realize my body was dependent. Now I NEED to stop. It is messing with my memory and socially making me into a different person. Again, I needed your words.

So you are 24 hours in...yeah you are probably pretty miserable! BUT it is temporary and just hold on for a few more days and it will start to feel better. For instance if you got a bad stomach flu you would have no choice but to go through. This is the same thing....misery for a few days then a light at the end of the tunnel at about day 5. How much Vics were you taking and for how long? Are you gonna do therapy or anything to help with the mental part of it all? Anyway, Good luck and Keep up the good work.
