Ambien Cr. I've been off Methadone for two months now and still can't sleep. Actually I now fall asleep about 6am and wake up about 2pm. Totally screwed up. I plan on getting back on it. Its the best night sleep ever and it will knock you out for the night time withdrawals. It gets better, hang in there.

you can try benedryl, it might not be the most restful sleep, but it may help. don't overdo it, but i've been using a few generic benedryl this week, since i'm still in wd's i'm able to sleep from 11-midnight until around 3-4ish, its a struggle after that, but i slept on and off until 9 this morning. it does get better, good luck

Why is it that doctors do not think trammy addictive? I swear the worst stories you hear are people coming off trammy and contins. Melantonin I believe is a natural medication for slepp that is prescribed and not addictive. I think that is what I was prescribed over the years

one of the reasons doctors don't pay attention to the addictive nature of tramadol is because the drug reps still sample it to the medical offices, when i was at my last office i always had TONS of ultram. but the reps keep telling the md's that since it's a stynthetic opiate, it's somehow okay.  obviously it's not, ultram can be one of the worst pills to come off of, mainly because alot of md's don't see the patterns yet. it's too bad that the drug companies have so influence over what we end up taking, it's kinda sick actually.

If your sleep is that bad that you are not getting any,you can always go to the doctor and get an RX sleep med.I had to because the sleep was not there.Just becareful because they are additive to.Only take them if you need to and for a few nights only. congrats on your clean time!!! Plymouthgirl

Thanks for the comments...tramy's...pure evil for me and my wife, I don't want to say that they are evil in general because there may be someone out there that is able to take controled doses and it's helping with their pain, but for us, evil. No one (outside of those knowledgable about addiction) seems to know how dangerous these are. I will never be the same, ultimately that will be a positive thing, but it will take some time to get my mind around some things.

I've thought about going to the doc to egt something for sleep, but I'm soooo happy to not HAVE to take something, that I don't want to start taking something else that I will need. We'll see, we may have to, but for now I just want to let my body heal naturally (granted that's tough when you don't sleep).
