Coming off norco... help!

I have been tapering off of norco for over a week now. I am now down to 2 norco a day. Yesterday I started taking tramadol a few times a day to help w W/D symptoms. I am aware that tramadol is addictive so worried that I may be trading one drug for another. Am I just prolonging the W/D of the norcos? Will using the 150mg's of tramadol a day be detrimental to me? It seems to be helping with the terrible W/D symptoms. I truly don't think I can become addicted to it since I'm using such a light amount & plan to do so for only a few days. Any advice or kind words would be wonderful. I really appreciate it.

*also taking L-Tyrosine, B-12, omega 3's, multivitamin, & lots of exercise

My advise is to stop taking the tram. It's very addictive, and chemically very similar to norco. An "opioid" as opposed to and "opiate". Just go through the WDs and get it over with. Yes, they're terrible. Our bodies and minds pay a heavy price when we abuse narcotics. it takes time and some pain to heal from an opiate addiction. Just let it happen. Deal with your symptoms as they come and things will get better.

Great job on teying get your life back. I'm in similar situation. I was taking 10 or more vicodins a day. I was getting more & more depressed & it was affecting my entire life. Looking forward to the future. Today is my 1st day of tapering off. I yet to feel the worst of WD but I'm determined to get my life back. Good luck to you & hang in there!!!
