quitting oxy

I have been on and off doing oxys and perks for years now.  but i was good for a while untill 10 months ago, i started again.  i have been doing them every single day for about 10 months now.  i have been doing more and more.  now i do between 100- 140mg a day.  either in perks or oxys.  i really need to quit badly.  i just need some help on how i can make the withdrawls not so bad.  see none of my friends or family know.  not a single person.  i think i am gunna tell a couple of my close friends just for support while i try to quit.  i was thinkin about NA meetings but i dont know how that will work.  what are some suggestions on meetings?  but what have some of you done while you were withdrawling?  How long will the withdrawl be intence for?  a week or two..?

Welcome to the forum.  NA mtgs. would be a good thing.
Keep posting on here...people will help you thru it!
Once you get thru the intense part(4-5days) then the mental part kicks in...thats where mtgs. or this forum helps greatly. If you can get support of a couple of friends, that is good. You can always say you have the flu....wd's have the same symptoms of the flu...and the flu can last like 5-7 days or longer. So get all your help aids together and we will be here for you! Good luck!

if you can take 4-5 days off of work you should be able to do this you are at the right spot and if you dont want to tell to many people at home whats going on you can build a wonderful suport system on this forum. A lot of people when they first come on here do not realize right away what a wonderful forum this is. We are all here to suport each other. The people here have helped me out more than my closest friends and now some of these people are my closest friends. You can be yourself here, we will not judge you. and i cant give too much advice on tapering because i wasnt strong enough to taper i had to go cold turkey and it was hard but well worth it the physical w/d lasted about 4 days. Day 3 was the haredest and then the mental and emotional kicked in i had to face reality and that was something i hadn't done in yrs. I cried, yelled, screamed, cried again and again but in the end it was worth it i am finally starting to become normal again.stay strong and good luck we are all here if you need to vent or just talk or even just let the truth out......i wish you the best....msinsane

If you quit cold turkey, it will be pretty rough for 4-5 days. Then it gets better. If you can taper down to using about 8/day. The withdrawals will still be bad but they will be better than at the 10-15 you're taking now. Look in my journals for the Thomas recipe. There are things in there that make w/ds a bit more able to do.
