66 yrs old addict

My wife has terrible constant pain and the oxy c is ruining our lives instead of helping. I am desperate to save us from destruction.  She has fallen and broken her arm, not in right mind, suffering terribly and has been unable to function as a normal person.  Does anyone have advice that will work in getting her off oxy c ?

I would certainly encourage you to talk with your doctor.....Explain it exactly the way you did here..and make sure you fully convey your feelings....In my experience my Dr. was very helpful....I have seen posts on here where Dr's. were not....but i would cedrtainly try to have a heart to heart with them.... Good luck.

Could you be more specific...how is it ruining your life? Is she taking too many, running out early? Or are there other side effects that you are referring too? What kind of chronic pain does she suffer from and when you say not in her right mind, what do you mean?

More info would just help to get better responses! Thanks

welcome, she has two choices she can either taper down or go c/t. tapering is usually the easy way if you are strong enough to do it. but she has to be ready to quit, unfortunately you cant make that decision for her. if she does, check out the thomas recipe and Amino Acid Protocol at the bottom right of the page. get plenty of fluids and banana.  you might want to discuss this with her dr. he can help her taper. keep posting and reading posts, there will be other online later that will have more ideas. take care and be strong
