Hey Fuzzy~~ There's always AA...can you try that? I know they have meetings in Scotland. You'd need to check for one nearby to you.
Good luck! I know it's a b!tch !!
You have two posts going on the main page. Please stick with one, this one so members can get to know you and all of the members who are seeking help can get their posts answered as well. Thanks and good luck.
Congrats on wanting to get clean. Life is so much better not worrying about how many pills we have left or where we are gonna get more.
You said it best in your last paragraph of your second post where you said you can't just have a little or use on occasions. So many think that they can take a couple just for the night. Sure, there are many out there that can but the difference is we are addicts. All it takes is one pill and we end up right back where we started. That one pill turns into us saying we will just use for the night. Then that one night turns into us saying just for the weekend. Next thing you know we say we will quit "tomorrow". Everyday turns in to us saying "tomorrow".
Now that you know that you can't use even on occasions you will do great. Stick around this forum for support and all the wonderful people here will help you though. You're doing a great thing here. Sobriety is worth every second of the withdrawals to get there.
Best of luck.
Brian
Where I live pain killer or prescription drug addiction is not a regognised issue over hear. There are no therapy, groups or anything., Thats why doctor cant deal with me and too short staffed to hand out therapy appointments. Every clinic around here does everything but are not to sure how to treat me. They dont like to do tappering here, too expensive. Would rather you rattled. Its an un sympothised disease. That was from doctors mouth.
I know I feel so daft (silly) What an idiot. Oh well dust my self.
For any one reading this mind the withdrawels is the start of it not the end staying off the grap is a promise for life. You cant just have a little you cant just use on occassions. Leason learnt by me....
Thanks Crys833 x x x
You've been through withsrawal before, so you know what to expect. What are you planning for aftercare? Some type of counselling may help you to not relapse again. There is a lot of support on this forum for withdrawal and addiction. Keep posting so we can help you through this. It's tough getting there, but life is soo much better when you're not counting pills, it really is :)
