Today marks my day 9 of coming off roughly 1-2 mg a day for about a year and a half. Ang_811 pretty much summed up what I did to help deal with the w/d. I totally stocked up on healthy things to eat and vitamins and I believe they helped quite a bit. I think they also give me the little energy I have, enough to take a walk once or twice a day which also helps free my mind a little and when I get back it feels good to have atleast got outside and have done something. I realized when I stay couped up in my room all day and dont even attempt to get out of bed is when I actually feel the worst. If you have not already started the process of w/d and are still taking your subs, I would say to start tapering them down and make the commitment to be off of them. Tapering down is the only thing I wish I did differently, as I didnt even think about it and just decided to stop while at 1mg a day. I hear the sub w/d's last so long and it really scared me but if this gives you some incentive, Im on day 9 and the symptoms remaining are very managable. I dont feel like Im going completely insane anymore, just some symptoms are still lingering around that are uncomfortable at times. Nothing compaired to the initial w/d's though. Wish you the best of luck and hope this helps in some way.
hi...well i got off of suboxone at 2 mgs. i experienced lil wds when i made the jump and i didnt experience ne wds during the tapper process. while i was tappering i was taking vitamins from the thomas recipe and i started to work out during that time also. i think they both played huge roles in y my withdrawls werent as bad as they shouldve been. plus i prepared myself mentally and got into a positive mind set. i also changed my diet and started to eat a lil healthier also. chck, fish, fruits and veggies. they r all good for wds. good luck and keep posting for support.
