HELP...GOING WITHOUT!!

I will get straight to the point!  I beleive that I will going without my painkillers tomorrow, which to be honest scares the hell out of me.  It maybe just for one day or it may be longer I am not entirely sure yet.  The reason I am so scared is because I am on a huge dose of OxyContin for pain relief (640mg'day) and I have faced WD before and it wasn't pleasent!!  I am terrified to be honest and really don't know what to do.  Is there something I can do to abate the symptoms at all?  To be honest I am open to any suggestions anybody has because the clock is now ticking and in a few hours the drugs I have taken will be out of my system and the WD will kick in.  I may even be to ill to come on here so I am hoping that somebody will suggest something sooner rather than later.

I would really apreciate some help on this one folks...I am kind of panicking at present!!

your doctor prescribes u this much per day?  That dose is scary and for one day u will probably be ok as oxycontin does half a long half life..u r not going to feel well tho...i misread and u r not plaaning on quitting just worried about the day or so til u get ur pills? This is an abuse forum so we are used to people who are trying to quit posting...perhaps your doctor can call it in a day early for you?   if u have any anti-anxiety meds that will help as well tomorrow....that is a high dose and dangerous as well....and it will continue to climb unfortunately....please be safe

I have to agree, that is dangerous to come off that much cold turkey. Some sort of a blood pressure medicine may be needed. Is there someone that can watch you? Be safe OK?

Are you abusing your medication? Is that why you are going without? or do you want to quit for good?
