I was offered a sub program but decided to taper off my DOC Norco. I am still at 5 per day. Even tapering I was real sick all last week. I cosidered just going CT--But I to have to hide my problem. I told everyone I had the flu. The Thomas Recipe has really helped along with taking clonidine I manage to get 4 or 5 hours of sleep. I get on my bike and just sweat like hell---that has helped also. I can't think more than 1 hour ahead of time or I feel like I am going to have a panic attack---mostly about going to work on Monday.
nuff said--keep posting-keep lurking, it really helps.
however u get there it is good that u r getting there...clean...keep posting and it will pass....it should be a week or so and u will be ok...take a look at the thomas recipe and be sure and get as much exercise as u can...the health pages has lots of goo info...keep posting
oh trust me, I know the feeling. I am on my 2nd relapse now. I have not told anyone but those on this site. I just can't let them down again-like i have myself. you can trust those here and return as often as you need to for support. The nice thing is you can just blame it on the 'flu'. All the symptoms mimick the flu, well with the exception of the anxiety and depression. But believe in yourself! you can do it and will be so glad that you did. It only lasts about 7 days so just get through today, then when tomorrow comes, just get through that. Post questions, comments, and even complaints on here as much as you need to. You'll get the encouragement and support you need to make it. Great Job!
Thanks for your imput. I'm going to do my best without the sub it just hard when you have a wife and to kids who have no clue.
Welcome!! the sub is not a wise supplement to get rid of withdrawl symptoms. It just draws them out over a longer time. My w/d usually lasts about 7 days with days 4,5 the worst. If you can handle having the super flu for a week, you'll be much better off and just cold turkey it. read the 'thomas recipe'. It will help. you can find it by scrolling to the bottom of this page in the right hand corner box. Best of luck, and wise choice in quitting!
