Hi John, good to hear from you. Do you smoke? Cigs raise your pulse up into the 90s every time u light up. If it's not smoking possibly it's anxiety. Anx will get mine going good! We're going to get through this John. As long as we don't use today, were having a good day. It's all about getting to bed tonight without using. As we make it through each day clean it gets better and better.
I was just wondering why my pulse was high on methadone I freak out when it was at 60, I only take my bp once a day I got over checking it all the time of course off the drugs my bp is gonna change, I need to quit smokeing and stop drinking so much coke masybe the caffine and nicotine is messing with me with the done wds, I want to thank everyone for helping me out of this craziness your friend John.
Congrats Ponco on your clean time!!! Now quit taking your bp and pulse all the time!!!
Hey. Awesome on 2 wks.
I'd say your pulse is high from anxiety. Even if you don't notice it.
Example. When I go to the dentistill be sitting there for awhile then realize I've been squeezing the arm rest like crazy. It's not till I notice that will I realize I'm stressing. Wds an be like that. You don't realize your tense until you have a second to think about it.
Try some deep breathing excersise.
One I like is 4x4's.
Take in a breath for four seconds, hold for four, exhale for four, hold for four. Repeat.
Oh man, You made me think of the first time I tried to jog after detox. As my heart rate elevated, the dope sick did too. I think you're fine. Methadone takes a long time, as you know. Settle in and give it time. I felt pretty bad for about 60 days and continued to improve over about 8 months. My dose was higher than yours, so you shouldn't have as hard a time of it. The tyl is out of your system and your last methadone dose is getting further away. You are doing great. Keep your heart rate down if it feels bad and make sure you are still getting good nutrition and lots of water. When you feel up to it, cardio exercise is the best. I relate though, it felt like my elevated heart rate was pushing the methadone out faster and it felt wacky, not just sick, but almost disoriented at times. Give it a few months, so we have a base YOU to start from. So happy for you John, I knew you would make it. You have been trying so hard, too hard at times, but by golly you never gave up. Congrats bro, you are on your way every minute.
