I'm wondering about how much worse this will get

So I've been tapering quickly for about a week and a half. Down from about 100mg daily of vicodin to about half that (50mg). I've been using the Thomas withdrawl cure as well to help with the symptoms. I want to do that rest of my taper very quickly so that I'm clean within the next few days. With all the vitamins and things I am taking, and the fact that I've been somewhat slow in this so far, what can i expect if I go down to 4 tomorrow, then 2, then none? Will I get super sick? I've never attempted to quit in the 2 years I've been using so I have no idea what to expect. Will I be able to function at work and school, or will I be like a miserable mess? Can someone who has experienced opiate withdrawl speak about this? What should I expect? Will I be calling in sick this Wednesday . . .?

chances r u will do fine..u may feel a bit flu-like bt it passes

I also think tapering even if doen quickly helps us prepare what we will feel and gather the strength and will power tio get it done!

hang tight..flush xtras and cut off supply,,pick a quit day and have a plan to stay clean long tern
If u taper down from 4 to 2 mgs in one day, u may feel it..u can make it thru..sometines it is easier just to flush and be done...a taper that is too slow can cause us to lose interest...but if u r controlled person you may hang in for a 3-6 months and it will reduce some of the detox pain but also a taper has alot of bad days for many and by the time they finish they just go CT...takes discipline to taper but is not wd fee for most..even a slow taper..slow or fast taper..a quit day and a plan to remain clean are often the missed links an addict needs to stick the their deadline and let go

we r all different..u do whatever u put ur mind to doing...

sounds like you are doing great. i tappered down from 90mg  to nothing in about a months time.there really is no specific amount to drop all the time. i just kept it as low as i could handle. how many times a day are you taking it? the idea is to allow your body to adjust to the change. if you are having really severe withdrawl symptoms than you are dropping too fast. also you don't want to be taking it continuously all day. twice a day at the most. save it for when you have to be at work? and on the weekends you can try to skip days altogether and just lay around? anytime you can go without, it drops your tolerance even more. my last week i took a 750 2 times a day and the last day i took half of one 2 times that day and then quit. it really was not that bad at all. just had really shaky hands for a few weeks. and 1 sleepless nite.
best to you
