you got MMT methadone treatment program, that wuld be for more severe addictions not for hydrocodone, vicodin, percocet addictions, more severe like heavy amounts of H or oxycontins, dilaudid, the super potent opioids, then you have suboxone(buprenorphine 8mgs and 2mgs Naloxone tablets) and Subutex(buprenorphine) treatment which will work for any severity of addiction, it works the best as far as success reates go for addictions to vicodin, percocet, oxycotnin, and not super heavy addictions, but it has worked for the hardest of addicts so it is possible, the subutex should only be used for the detox period so the first few days and the it should be strictky suboxone, which has less abuse liability. both suboxone and methadone if used for voer a few konths can cause severe wd's if youve gone CT that can last over two months, methadone is a little harder to taper off of than suboxone but suboxone isnt a miracle drug and is still addictive and still is hard to get off of and has very harsh wd's if you taper too fast...they both just alst along time, methadone 24-36hrsd. and suboxone's half-life on average is 37hrs. so it usually last two days..so wds wont show until about 5 days after the last time it was taken...it will creep up on you, catch you, and unleash a beast of brutality on anyone +everyone...then you have the idea of total abstinence(pretty silly, and scientifically not looking to good for succes rates), but with opiates and severe addictions thats pretty much impossible, some can do it, and ppl with minor addictions or habits can do it(on vicodin or percs for a few months froma surgery or a few prescriptions bought for around 4 months), but thats about it..then you have people who  go to a hospital and detox to get the opiates out of their system and then go on with their life thinking that their cured(hah, even sillier), their chance of relapse if very very high. it does nothing for the actually addiction your brain has and the changes it has made to your pleasure centers and overall brain...some go for the "at home" detox method, either tapering and then taking wd aiding meds, or go straight into taking the meds that aid the wds..for that idea i thik the best idea if youre tapering i would ahve someone close that does not use not even once hold on to the medication and slowly taper sown toas low as you can get and then for ashort term use wd meds a benzo, clinidine, ambien, immodium ad, anti-mausea meds, maybe baclofen or orphenadrine...instead of getting these off the streets which is very rare to find anyways go to a urgent care, hospital or clinic and tell them the truth and they will most likely help you out and rescribe a detox plan for you with the right meds...
then you incorporate the NA/AA meetings, counseling, and therapy into the treatment plan-christos
