this will probably be deleted as it is a direct link to my journal....Tapering from benzos is the name but it came from benzos dot uk dot org...if u go to my name/click on it..go to my page and then go to my journal entries///click list view then "tapering from benzos"
if u have both a narcotic problem and a benzo problem it is recommended to quit the narcotic first...just thinking here as am not sure what ur needs are///keep posting and good luck..u r moving forward
You are SO RIGHT! I would do commercials (for freee) for Suboxone!! I'm telling you...it's the best stuff by far, in my opinion for getting off drugs, I have seen friends taper off of methadone and absolutely crash and burn!!!
I have tapered down from 24 MG's of sub to 6......this all in a matter of months, not days mind you. I think that's one of the bigger misconceptions of Sub...I mean, it makes you feel better PHYSICALLY but you need to take it long enough to get the mental part of your addiction taken care of as well. I say it's a miracle drug in that it will get you off drugs but ya gotta do it right. It's kinda like diet pills...you take them...but still need to exercise......
GOOD LUCK!
in jour journal, where did you get that tapering from benzos sched? That is exactly what I'm hoping to find?
now i just read you did suboxone. What hapened? and why cant you do it again. I tried tapering and it didnt work. Not saying it wont work for you but Ive never really heard a story of anyone tapering off that stuff and it working. To addicting but if you try good luck!
I'll put it short- go on suboxone. It takes the withdrawls away in a split second. I took it (subs) for 6 months plus after being on 30 oxys a day for over a year and tapered off 8 days ago and went through withdrawl from that but its over now. GO GET SUBOXONE. Its a miracle pill but you have to taper off it over a longer period of time like i did not do and you may get no withdrawls at all. The first sub i took 30 minutes later there were absolutely NO withdrawls whatsoever. That in itself was a miracle to me. Felt awsome.
DOC=opiates, (beginning with codeine 20 yrs ago), to oxy use past 7 yrs. In March I started re-using again after having been on suboxone for 2 yrs. (Subox is not an option this time.) My dosage has been anywhere from 30-90 mg or 240-400 mg daily. I want to try to taper myself off, as I am not under a drs care, but have never done it. I still am not sure where to find these "health pages" (because that sounds like where I could get some info other than what I already know myself from my MANY prev detox, rehab attempts). I dont however know what I need to to try to taper. Do you think I can find that kind of info? And what is this about "other's journals"? People actually "share" their journals?
I never use the tags but they r ways people can zone in on topics quickly...i am sorry u r having a problem...tell s more..what was your DOC? and amount u took each day? most hydro and oxy users can quit by tapering or CT if they r not at an extraordinary dose..many here have dont just that..and have stayed clean...there is a set of rules to help people navigate the forum in the very first welcome post by avisg....first off u need to click on the health pages and read and read...about the aminos, thomas recipe tapering, as much as u can read as there is good info there...my journal which is accessed by clicking on my name and going to my profiles also has some good info as well as many other's journals here on the forum...we have saved info we thought was important to share and pass on
also look for your inbox...this is where people can send u a private message...then there is the "send a note" those are public notes so u try and be discreet in those notes
good luck and keep posting
been there done that-subox that is. not an option this time. want to try to taper but cant seem to get it together
Welcome to the forum! Its a good place with a bunch of great people that work in mutual support to help each other get off or stay off of mostly pills - but also some non-pill issues.......... the tag suggestions are just key words that pertain to the forum or to the topic under discussion..............finding this site is a great way to begin............
