Info on suboxon

I have the same old story.  Started taking pain meds with 3 surgeries in about 3 months and the pain they tried to fix got worse so getting and taking Lortab 10 was ok.  I now want off after 9 months of taking many a day and was thinking of calling a Dr who is recommended to help with suboxone.  My question is, if I go do this, is it way expensive, how does insurance look at it and just wondering what to expect.

be so so safe and educate urself on this drug...sub is a very, very strong narcotic...a lortab user at 100 mg a day can actually catch a buzz from sub at 2-4 mg...1 mg of sub = 30 mg of hydro....10-15 mg of methadone....quick and less is the key...if u r afraid of wds and u need to work...may be a good answer but most hydro users are thru wds in 4-5 days...have u ever tried to quit on ur own?  most people who to turn to sub could not quit on their own or continuously relapsed...it is not a first choice by no means but a last choice as it is addictive and can replace ur DOC in a heartbeat...BTW:  physical wds last several days...the mental part lasts a long time..short term sub use will not help in that aspect...if u want to stay on a maintenance narcotic for life then it can help somewhat altho people find a way to use on sub...it is not fool prooof...do u attend meetings?  at the present time i am helping 3 people withdraw from sub...no picnic

Good question --- I am just off of suboxone treatment and think it is a great tool to get your off the opiates -- -It is not totally painless - but allows you to manage your withdrawals to times you choose --- best to get off in under 21 days though.   It is very addictive but safe if used for short term.  All the best

The best thing you can do is find a doctor that includes some recovery care or requires some type of recovery care to stay on the  sub. It  can be a useful tool but you need to get to the root of why you use

Avisg said it all, It is all over the place as far as price, ins, and copays, like she said you gotta just go down the list of authorized drs. in your area. call them all. I called 9 places before I found the right dr. And make sure you ask him about aftercare, and counciling support. The more interested he is in your success, the better your success will be, GOOD LUCK, Teddy

It can be very expensive I have heard from many it best to shop around . I have heard many mixed things about the insurance some doctors don't take it some do .Some are able to pay a co pay for the pills others have to pay for all of it .

There are several people hear on it I am sure they will chime in.
