Since I had my daughter ,3 yrs ago, I've had severe back pain. Two discs, in between those where the epidoral was given, the discs have disappeared. When I found out I was pregnant I tried to stop but the leg and muscle pain was unbearable. I take them for pain not for a buzz but take up to 6 a day. What can I do to stop without having the pain? No one knows I take them which makes it harder because its so embarrassing. What can I do? I'm 17 weeks and getting more stressed about it.

.5mg about 4 times a week doesn't sound bad. However, it always evolves into something worse. More dose, more often. So right now it may not seem bad. But, it will get worse as your body needs more to get the same effect.

Despite the low dose and only taking them a few times a week depending on how long you take them for there is a high risk of being physically dependent on them.. benzo's like that are very easy to become used to.. they work with your brains GABA, after awhile your brain will not produce the GABA it normally would since you have been feeding it this.. so when you go to stop taking it you will want to taper down the dosage so your body can adjust without it..

yes...watch it with those....i've been through addiction and withdrawls, and detox because of those...I began to play with them instead of just one when I really needed it, and I mixed with alcohol. VERY tough to get off of them. They're for anxiety, so I would only take one when you need one, or at bedtime. DO NOT mix with alcohol!!

That does make a lot more sense - it's a benzo and there is a risk of addiction there too although that is a small dose

I'm guessing you didn't have Lortab prescribed for sleep since that's not an appropriate use.  Know that anytime you take a narcotic for an extended period of time, even at a small dose, there is potential for physical and psychological addiction.  Are you able to stop taking it without any ill effects?
