Is surgery an option for you at all?

Takes lots of baths. Can you see a chiropractor?  That could help. Message too. ER doctors see so many seeking drugs they are hesitant at times. They usually don't want to prescribe. Only give something there once.

You have a definite condition. And even though not an addict your body gets dependent. Another week and you should be over the worst if the wds. And any wd pain and RLS should lessen. Then you can start figuring out what your real pain is. Bc the opiates make pain worse.

I hope the best for you. Try using something non ibuprofen too. Aleve etc.

so are you red flagged for narcotics??  maybe by them saying 'per your request' is a good thing because it didn't say you were an addict.

I was just "discharged" from my pain clinic, "as per my request", which was bs- no one who is in chronic pain ( 8 ruptured discs, c-5,6,7&8 & 4 lowest, as well as all of the degenerative disc disease stuff) who has been prescribed oxycontin and Baclofen, (15mg, 20mg, both 4x a day) is going to just tell their Dr, "I quit!", without having another Dr lined up!!  Because the steroid injections that this clinic uses as their main source of income have NEVER helped me...have actually been detrimental to me, I had declined having anymore of them. After a year of just prescribing the 15mg Oxycontin, they "felt uncomfortable going any higher with the dosage"!  I never indicated that I wanted to be discharged, but with 2 PA's in the exam room, it was their word against mine...So after that last prescription (28 days) ran out, cold turkey was inevitable.  I don't advise it!!  After 2 days I ended up in the ER for my neck being in a spasm!! The ER Dr refused to discuss pain meds, but after injecting fluid into my locked up neck (it made the spasm release), she prescribed a small amount of Baclofen- which she said can cause Seizures if you quit them suddenly!  Now, I've been sick for about 2 weeks, constant diarrhea, absolutely no energy! Still can't sleep, though I'm taking Diphenhydramine for that, having the Baclofen really helps-but I'm killing my liver w 3-5 ibuprofen every 6 hrs. I can't cook or do much around the house...if I was still working, I'd have been fired!!  The worst? part has been the PAIN!!  I'm not an addictive personality, and wouldn't have been taking the meds if I wasn't hurt!  So, after all that, I'd advise anyone who has been on opiates for any long period of time NOT to try to kick it "COLD TURKEY"!!
