reallyneedhelp gave you some great advice.  There are a lot of doctors out there and it's important to find one that's on the same page as you - and if they're not listening, that's not a good sign!  Start the research now the sooner the better!

If you really want to stop then consider rehab and or therapy because there is obviously an underlying cause to why you take these drugs over and over and want to get high, you simply want to escape reality. There may be something deep within your subconscious that troubles you...
Wish you all the best, Tom

If that's how you feel then you need to find a doctor who is going to listen to you and help you.  How long haye you been with this doctor?  It seems like you've los faith in your doctor and that's not good.  i suggest doing some research and find a new doctor and get a second opinion.  your days and nights are all messed up and maybe your medicines are not reacting right in your body.  Go get a 2nd opinion, NO ONE deserves to live like that. I'm so glad you came back i posted last night and was worried ALL day about you.  Please get some new advice and your concerns are VALID concerns and if your doc is not addressing them time to get new advice.  Keep us posted because we all really care.

I think it would be a good idea for you to sit down with your Dr. and tell him/her ALL of the things you're telling us here.  They need to know exactly what you''re going through - it might be something as simple as adjusting your medication to get the right "balance" with the meds and to seek additional counseling.  I hate to see you suffering so much so please think about doing this.  At this point, what you're doing now is not working for you so wouldn't it be worth it to find out what you could do to change how you're feeling?  Please think about that.  :)

I think everyone is just concerned about you Julie - and want to see you get the help you need.  It's great that you have your Dr. and psychiatrist to talk to but what do you do between the times you see them?  You're suffering so there has to be another way to get the support you need - and the help to get off of the ghb - that's a really heavy duty drug and it concerns us that you are taking this stuff.  Are you on your own?  Is there someone there with you to help you through all of this?  We're just worried and you obviously are concerned as well because you came here - and this is a great place for support but what are you doing at home to deal with these issues?

I'm not that familiar with narcalepsy, I thought it was difficulty staying awake and not staying asleep. Pardon my lack of knowledge. I was talking about maybe an in treatment program? It sounded like you had a lot of medical disorders and that maybe some in patient would better suit your situation. I could be very wrong, and I apologize if this offended you.
I know for me if I could I would welcome some time off in patient. :)

what kind of help are u talking? i have a psy dr and a reg dr.  I only get really loopy with the xyrem.  I have pretty good days but at night its like dr jeckle and mr hide.  thats when i crave more i was on this med before and got off cold turkey really didnt affect me.  but the was put on it again because no matter what i take i cant sleep, but even though i feel rested more with the med i dont know how i dont get more then 3 hrs at a time.  i could be sound asleep at 11 then at 130 be wide awake and not go back to sleep till 630 go to sleep and ready to go at 830.  This narcolepsy has me all messed up i dont like taking the xyrem but i cant"sleep" without it.  Also I have such poor judgement when i take it.  I just want to go to bed at night and wake up in the morning with NO drama and be good enough to stay awake all day!

let me clarify i am on xyrem perscribed to me but it is the same as ghb.  you may be right in saying i'm not me because i that the xyrem at night.  it brings so many negative emotional thing to my head.  right now im sane as i can be and now everything are in prospective.  I have been diagnosed with bipolor, severe anxity, fibromyalgia, narcolepsy. diabeties, and high cholestral.  I also suffer from ressless leg syndrome.  I take all these meds and i still want more.  its not cool.  i have been off narcos for a while so all i'm taking is the xyrem which my very loopy almost like i'm drunk when i take it all my cares go away.  no anxiety i'm loving.  yes I really do want to adopt but your right if u put all my posts all together i sound nutz.  from 830 at night till 9 in the morning i'm a fruit cake.  who knows maybe i am

Everyone here knows what they're talking about Julie - you need to find a treatment center immediately.  This drug is nothing to mess around with when it comes to quitting.  Get that help because it's out there.  Okay?  Please!!!

julie, i honestly dont think you are yourself at the moment, you say "your on GHB" which as you know is very dangerous! and you answered another thread saying you "were looking for a baby to adopt"!  either you need help badly or your not taking this seriously at all. please take heed of what others are telling you.

Julie-- GHB is so dangerous, illegal and will really mess with you!  The withdrawals are very harsh.  I think your situation is pretty acute because you say you'd take anything and this drug does not mix well with others!  It's often deadly....

Find an in patient facility in your area but first tell someone about this, okay?

yes you will feel normal again, but it is a tough road.  I dont know much about ghb but i am entering day three of no drugs from a 30 a day norco habit and i can tell you that the herbs have helped me a ton.  I know that you can get off of these but a big part is mind over matter and proper help.  DO NOT give up, remember admitting the problem is half the batte.  Remember your not feeling good your feeling high.  You need to feel like yourself again and you CAN do it.  Tell us a little more of your story for more help. I thought you said been off a while of what> how longon ghb? give the details.

Julie--GHB? You are messing around with a very unpredictable dangerous drug. Why do you feel you can't get enough of it. Have you ever tried to get clean?
