yes the next couple days should get better, i am on day 14 and most of the pains ans aches went away around day 6, but everyday aafter day 4 got a little better. this site is great even if you come on and read others stories, makes you feel so not alone. sleep is still rough but everynight that is getting better also. you are sooo close to the physical part to be over but then the mental will start but you are so proud everyday you dont, so keep kicking butt, pray, keep posting and you will get the. all my wishes and prayers for you.
Keep going hon. I think your pain will get much better. Sometimes we have abused our bodies so badly till it doesn't know how to cope with pain in a normal way, it is the pain receptors in the brain, they don't want to work anymore they get lazy and say "give me another lil pill would ya, while I lay here and be a couch potato" When your body gets back to normal you wont be in nearly as much pain. I had back surgery, and never thought I would be off pain meds. I also have arthritis, BUT Arthur( Itis) doesn't sleep with me anymore after 3 months clean and sober. I feel GREAT! Keep up the great work and have hope hon.

Hot baths, lots of hot baths that is the only time during my wd that my body felt ok. you are almost thru the worst hang in there. Today is number 3 I would sit in the tub and when it started to get cool I would let some water out and add more hot, if you don't have a bathtub showers.. I used Motrin 800 occasionally and I have heard on this Forum Tylenol PM to help you sleep after you jump out of a hot tub... Take care your almost there
Hi sho, Keep up the good work. I am on my 5th day w/o percocet. I am starting to feel slightly better but still no motivation and no energy. Keep posting. You'll find TONS of help and information here. I took a LOT of immodium the first three days. You can try that for your bathroom issues.
Take it slow. I wish you the best.
Keep posting....it will get better. There will be others on when it gets later in the morning that can give you more tips!
Congratulations on your decision!
This is going to be a long, hard battle for you. You can expect pretty severe flu symptoms for about 7 days. After that it will get better but you might feel like you have no energy. Look in the health pages for the Thomas Recipe, that should help. Just check with your doctor or pharmacist to make sure none of the ingredients interact with the meds you're taking. You've done great for making it 3 days cold turkey. I hear that the worst days are day 3 and 4, so you're almost in the clear. Good luck and stay strong. Many people have beat this and you can too. Keep posting here, this is a great place with very supportive and understanding people.
