I took one line of cocaine last night about .1 to .2 grams (stupid I know I was drunk). I may be administered a court drug test within the next 3 days and will receive a day in advance notice (urine test!!!!!!!!) How long will this one line stay in my urine? If i fail a drug test i may go to jail for up to 8 months and im worried as ****. Is there any way of getting it out of my system if it is still in my urine, such as flushes, and do the court test for flushes? Would other things such as sweating and drinking water help...
PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!!!
p.s. I PASSED A DRUG TEST CLEAN OF EVERYTHING TWO DAYS AGO!

Cocaine is suually gone in about 24 hours..metabolism and kidney function do affect the clearance...i would drink GALLONS of water between now and then and flush it out

I tested positive after 5 days. (but it was a lot more than 1 line). But sorry worried878, its NEVER out of your system in 24 hours.  And you cant fluch it out with water.  Thats a myth

cocaine has a short half life of 40-60 minutes...long term users may test positive for longer than a one time user of a small amount ...so it is hard to tell for sure...my next door neighbor did some on a wednesday night and tested clean on friday...she does not normally use and just did one "line"   also depends on if u smoked it, snorted it etc..also depends on ur age and metbolism...she slammed the water cos we did not know what else to do...all i know is she tested clean on friday...and i guess the best was to test clean is just to skip it next time but u already know that

The problem isn't going to be the 'cocaine' being in your system. The drug itself is out within 3 to 5 days, but when they do a urine test they test for a metabolite benzoylecgonine.  That is what your body makes when it ingests something like cocaine.  That, unfortunetly, can last up to 30 days.  There are detox pills and what not that claim to get it out of your system, but I don't know how well they work.  If you are desperate though, and you are worried about going to jail I suppose they couldn't hurt.  Do a google search and see which ones you can find.  good luck.

There is a bit of misinformation out there and that is cocaine is out of your system in 2-3 days. Well while that might be true LABS DON'T TEST FOR THE DRUG ITSELF. Yes, that is true, they look for the metabolite. A metabolite is something that the body produces when it ingests something, in the case of cocaine it is "benzoylecgonine" that will stay around long after the drug is gone, up to 30 days for a frequent user. THE DRUG ITSELF can stay in your bloodstream up to 72 hours. It can stay in your urine for about 1 or up to 3 days after single use. Habitual or chronic use can be detected in urine for up to 12 weeks depending on quantity, duration, and frequency of use.

Cocain can stay in your hair up to about 90 days. But there are also information that cocaine can stay in your hair for about 25 years after you only take it once

I'll throw some info in on this too though...

It's really going to come down to how they test the urine sample. If you are lucky, they will send the urine off to a NIDA standard laboratory. Which as already stated, they usually test for the metabolite benzoylecgonine - which can stick around for awhile.

However, according to NIDA standards, most people have a low enough level after about 8 days or so that the result will be considered a negative. So technically, even though it may be detected... it falls below the threshold for consideration as a 'positive'.

Different people, different usages, different lengths of time-frame for a positive. You may get lucky.

If they do an assay (dip) type test, they are usually much more sensitive to returning a positive due to no standard minimal level.

A lot of court-ordered drug testing though is aware of the use of flushing/detox products being sold that supposedly help you pass a urinalysis - and so some test for their presence as well under certain circumstances.

thanks for the help everyone and if your looking for more specifics on this that might help im 17 and havent used cocaine before (tested clean three days ago). I snorted one line on tuesday and may have a test on thursday or friday. It is a court administered urine test and they put a cap on it with a chip that dips into the urine and the they show you the results within a minute. I am making the attempt to drink water although it may not help. I also have a liquid body flush that says free of narcotics for ten hours but if used and they test for it the penalty will be much worse (when they test posative for a drug test flush you may have used any drug and they cant tell)

My advice is to stay away from all of it before you end up like so many of us there is no drug or alcohol that is worth the price it makes you pay. You have so much life ahead of you, don't try living it in a haze. PLEASE!!!!!

also depends on the test they use...where i work they use inexpensive tests...urine and they are not real sensitive...when someone are suspected of drug use tho, they cut off a piece of ur hair/expensive test and then if u used u r screwed as it stays in ur hair for a long long time..some urine tests are more sensitive than others..the ones that are like a dip stick that u can get at the drug store are not very sensitive and would have to be a fairly high concentration for it to pick it up...then there are the ones that are expensive that may pck up small amounts....a long time ago, i smoked pot on a friday night and tested clean on monday....urine test...but i was not a regular user so there was not enough to show up on the test i guess...so alot comes into play and amount and regularity of use are 2 factors plus the type of urine test they use on u
