So far so good...

Well, I first wrote in last week when I felt so sick and tired of the treadmill I had gotten myself on. I never thought I would be here and dealing with this. Although it has been about 2 1/2 years since it started with the daily hydrocodone and norco use, it seemed like longer. I was going thru them so fast, and then I would feel so bad until they were refilled again, which was getting more difficult. For some reason they helped the depression I seemed to be experiencing and gave me energy. I felt psychological pain and I'm sure this was just masking and prolonging the root issues that needed to be dealt with. This site is a wealth of information that I would like to use, both to express what I'm dealing with, as well as gathering the information that will help me in my journey to get better. Thank you for this place.
I also wanted to add that I have not taken any of the vicoden since last Thursday. I only had about 2 days worth to taper with, but so far so good. I did wake up feeling a bit dizzy this morning but I'm dealing with it. I really don't want to depend on anything to get me up and thru the day. I also wanted to add that I do use pretty much everything from the Thomas Diet, and I do believe in natural supplements as long as it's not overdone. There are 2 that I am using right now that have always been really good and they are: Alpha Lipoic Acid, which is an EXCELLENT Antioxidant and Silymarin or bettter known as "Milk Thistle" which is EXCELLENT for detoxing the liver. These are the two that I'm going to use mainly and have doubled up on them to get thru this time. I hope anyone that is not familiar with these supplements will google them and maybe they can help you too. Well, I'm off to enjoy the day. Good luck to everyone on their journey.

good luck to u....anti-oxidents r great for cleaning up ur body a bit...not so sure how much benefit they will be to wds in the short term sense as even if u double up on supps, u r only gonna absorb what the body is deficient in..important thing often if replacing good pills for bad pills ....for me anyway and for a while it was kinda like i was poppin tyrosine or theanine etc instead of pills...u know i never did dangerous levels and i dont think it did any harm and probably some good...exercise helps as well..important thing is to keep moving forward and seek support..the forum is a great place to be right now

Great information and so glad you are doing better now!!  Sometimes we still have to deal with the straggling stuff,  I seemed to have alot of depression probs. that are now, finaly getting better.  A good Dr. sure can help alot, mine knew right away that I needed to increase the cymbalta and it has helped.

Best wishes to you and keep posting!
