Thomas recipe may not be right for me

okay, I read the Thomas recipe, but I take an antidepressant.  So, I guess I will have to deal with the malise, whatever that is.  I hope it doesn't mean I am tired.  I am in sales, so tiredness could kill my sales.  ugh!  It will be worth it in the end.  Thanks to everyone who replied and I will keep you posted.  I am still deciding, based on the posts hear whether to flush the 36 left, or to taper with 4 a day.  That would last me 9 days and then I would just be post poning the withdraw symptoms.  I just think if I taper down to 4,3,2,1 I could stop the withdraw, but I am hoping someone on here has tried this.  6 days of withdraw before was horrifying and wasn't lettting up.  It wasn't the phsycological withdraw then, it was all physical....kicking, agitation, sweating, vomitings, etc.  When do the symptoms finally go away?

the thomas recipe doestn work for everyone, actually quite a few, including myself realized that there is no way i can beat the addiction i had to heroin and oxycontin by myself or with the recipe, i needed to go to suboxone or methadone clinic, and that saved my life..ive been on both for substantial amounts of time so let me know if you have any questions about either of them or any other treatment method for that matter ive tried it all..-christos

glad to hear u r going for it!  i just finished posting on ur other post..i used 80-100 mg a day for 3-4 years///i made it...and it was not a horror story ...get some books or movies, maybe try to clean out a closet if u can...do things that make u feel good for that few days...sleep if u want to...catch up on emails or friends u need to touch base with...try to walk at least 30 minutes even day 1...,.if u feel anxious or depressed..hit the driveway..if u feel exhausted..curl up in the bed with ur temp down cold in the house and bundle up..take off blankets if u feel sweaty...get something for sleep just in case altho i had the opposite problem and slept 14 hours a day during this time but perhaps it was a good thing...push fluids and take imodium as needed...EmergenC from walmart was a life saver for me along with the other supps and vitamins

u go girl and get it done..keep us posted

thank you!  I am going to do cold turkey and use the recipe.  I will keep you all posted.  I am an alcholic....1 year, 4 months sober, so cold turkey is probably what I need to do.  I am just fooling myself, thinking I can "control" things.

everyone is different..but most have wds during and after a taper..that is the reason that many go ct...tapering very very slowly like 1/2 pill a week can be  a good way but takes lots of discipline that many just do not have...i was afraid to draw out my taper due to possibly losing motivation as it had happened to me before...most feel wd each time they cut down their dose..and then feel it at the end but perhaps less severe for some...at a low dose many prefer CT...but it is a decision that is individual

being on an AD does not disqualify you from using the thomas recipe as most here are on ADs...i started an AD a month before my quit day and stayed on for 4 months and used the thomas recipe...if u have any worries..talk to ur pharmacist about it...the thomas recipe/other that the benzo suggestion/is natural vitamins and supplements we get in foods we eat each day..the AAs come from protein so if u r a big meat eater u r getting more than a vegetarian for sure each day..what is not needed is excreted..the thomas recipe is a wonderful thing to help ur receptors heal..along with support and exercise..good luck
