I think my mind woke up

I'm so tired.  I shook till about 1am then all of a sudden it stopped and i fell asleep.  Then 5am came along and my mind woke me up thinking about all kinds of things.  Then I tried to think when was the last time I had thoughts consciously racing through my head.  Well at that point I'm awake and can't go back to sleep.  My stomach is killing me with a sharp pain which I'm not sure is from the w/d.  I really want to sleep.  I think the worst part of this is not being able to sleep.  But it's day 3 and I've come this far

Keep up the good work, you are nearing the worst of WD's probably right now! From there on out the physical part gets much better and then you just have to fight off the mental part!

I've had the same issues with sleeping,, i've only had natural sleep 1 time in the 5 days... every other time i've knocked myself out with valium... i always let the sleep try to take over but my mind won't stop... and i'm a person that has to sleep!!!! Have you tried something to induce sleep even benadryl or something over the counter... i also read a post quite a while back that taking their calcium and magnesium at bedtime made them sleep like a log,,, didn't work for me but everyone is different,, after a while we will be able to sleep but our bodies have to heal and regulate,,, the worst of w\d is over for us not,, but we still have quite a few steps to having this drug in our systems,,, keep it up you'll feel a little better every day from this point on.... you're almost past the hump!!!

Thanks. I haven't taken anything at night. I have muscle relaxers that I put next to my bed now but have yet to take one. I think I may in the next couple of days if I don't get sleep. I'm happy you are as far as you are. You and everyone have really helped me. This place is great. Without talking to all of you I probably would have given up.
