Is there such as thing as weening down?

I am a user of Pain Killers. It has been getting worse and worse. I need to stop and I am finding it hard to. I am so scared to quit cold turkey due to the withdrawls. I have a 3 year old and I she needs me as much as I need her. I am a roller coaster of emotions right now and it is hard to give her all of my attention due to my mind going this and that way. I know I need to do something, so my question is can I ween my dosage to help not get serious withdrawls?

I could not taper like it was stated above if they are here I will take them so I just went c/t and bit the bullett the thoms recipie and amino acid protocol are a must they help so much and YOU CAN DO THIS we will help keep posting ask any questions you have and we will do our best to answer them and good luck to you your daughter deserves the best momma you can be to her and getting off the drugs will give her that

i was never able to taper, but the advice you have already gotten is great. the thomas recipe is literally a life saver. IM me if you want and i will help any way i can. good luck and keep posting.   sway

I tapered successfully and have been clean for 15 months +.  PM me if you need help with your taper schedule and I'll provide you some details for success.

many can not taper alone..some need some help like somone holding their pills and doling them out...others just get frustrated and go ct..and others just give up on it...tapering takes discipline and that is one thing addicts do not have when it comes to pills...writing out a taper..flushing extras other than maybe a fe emrgc pills..and picking a quit day..a day u stick to no matter how bad u screw up ur taper..all help..there is an article in the health pages on tapering...the thomas recipe can help u as well..keep posting..step number one//which is tough/is to quit snorting

Oh, that's not too  awfully long,  perhaps your W/D won't be so very bad!  Please, get away from them while you can. You will  withdraw tho, not pretty, but it may not be as badly as you think.  You can do this.  Make a plan, gather your stuff, and jump when your ready .........  keep posting, ask questions,  some others will come soon and post.

I was able to wean-down but others on here say that they just couldn't do it.  They say if they had them they took them all they could.   I did this as slowly as my last few pills would allow.  Please read in the Health Pages for the Thomas recipe.  The immodium is a must have.  You will have to be commited to your quit, or it will not work. It isn't easy but it is so doable. Others will come and offter your their advice.  You can do this, I hope you will too.  How long have you been useing, what are you taking?
