Snowstorm, Pain, tapering and stuff

wow are we getting pounded by a snowstorm here! it started last night as snow, turned to freezing rain for a couple hours and left alot of ice on the trees. It woke me up from the high winds blowing the frozen branches- making a clanking music sorta, spooky. Now heavy snow again, up to 12 inches maybe, with 45 mph winds- blowing and drifting snow, windchills near zero and if the wind blows down those icy limbs we could lose power! Its supposed to snow til tonight still! Good thing we have a generator in case we do lose power but I dont know if it will power the whole house or just certain circuits. thats my husbands dept, lol.  anyhow, aside from the weather here is my update. Im still taking the vicodin, have been tapering it down. My hip is starting to feel better, and my leg doesnt really bother me at all now. But of course still have my severe regular back pain and other pain isssues to deal with. THis is so hard!!! I hate hurting like this, and knowing I cant keep taking my pills forever. But unless I let myself go through WD for at leas a month, I will never know how much pain is still real legit pain, or if alot of it is WD pain. I suspect a little of both. I mean I know my back is bad, i have MRI proof of the bad discs in there, xrays also show DDD and arthritis in my entire spine and hip, knees etc.  So I know i DO have real pain from that. But to what extent? Ugh. Anyhow, Im tapering off the Vics again. not sure when I will be totally down to zero and then the WDs.

Stay warm all you northerners. Are you getting the storm too? If so,  how much snow?

PS i made more cream of potato soup and cherry cobbler last night and have tons of leftovers to tide us through today =)    Now , Id better get to watch my Browns game today without losing power! Been looking forward to it all week!

Have a great Sunday everyone.

I have 2 sons and a grandaughter in the Atlanta area (along with my exwife) my wife and I keep talking about moving down there at some point.  I had an opportunity to buy a house that would be perfect for my wife and I...trouble is, there are 3 adult kids who need to be pushed out of the nest (my wife's kids) before we could make such a move.  I hated turning down the opportunity.

But, somewhere in Georgia is where I want to be.  I just love it there.

I'm in NH and we got about 8"  I have a snow thrower that didn't want to start..did a lot of shoveling, clearing of cars then called a guy to come plow us out..my back
won't take the shoveling.  Took an aleve a little while ago which seems to be helping some.

I don't know why we keep living in the Northeast.

WE GOT 14.5" OF SNOW!!!!!!!!!

I'm in northern indiana.. and it has been ridiculous. We are expecting to get 3-5 inches of snow today and then 1-3 inches yet tonight.

Good luck to all and stay out of the snow.

keep that generator handy. that is the same storm that left us without power for one whole week in oklahoma. our trees are broken in half. very dangerous to even walk outdoors. it looks like a tornado went through the entire northeastern part of the state. a little snow. but the ice was horrible. i know people that still have no power, they are going nuts.
