So scared!!
I've never been more scared of anything in my life. I'm due in two weeks and just the thought of labor is making me nauseous lately. Im basically worrying myself to death. I've been sick for two days over this. Not sleeping and have the worst headache. Someone please reassure me. I don't know what else to do! Sorryfor posting this here. You guys are justsuchan amazing support group.
Hey Sweetie- Have you attended childbirth classes? It's good to do that because it will really demystify everything for you.
If you haven't already, talk with your OB about pain meds. You can get an epidural (you know what that is right?) at about 6cm. It just won't be bad at all! No one is going to leave you screaming in a bed!! I promise!!

Hey sweetie, I understand how your feeling. One day when I was around 8 months pregnant with my first it occurred to me-this baby has to come out!! Gazing at my huge belly it was a terrifying prospect.
One word- epidural!!! ;)
Not kidding, I decided to get it with both my kids and had very little pain. Once its in you'll be smiling through labor!
And let me tell you that once he or she is out and they put the baby in your arms- it's magical! Everything washes away and all that matters is that tiny little person your holding.
Make sure you let them know you'd like an epidural and if possible, go on a tour of the labor and delivery unit of the hospital beforehand. Being familiar with where your going to deliver is reassuring and most hospitals offer this. Try and put the fears to rest. Seriously I thought pregnancy was more pain then labor itself. (my back was in terrible pain, especially the last two months I was pregnant). Relax and enjoy the last weeks of your pregnancy. you will be ok, i promise! just think of the result! a beautiful baby! no one would have more than one child if it wasnt so worth it! dont listen to horror stories, its different for everyone!

Labor is not fun at all but it means it will only be a matter of time before you are holding that precious baby. Dont freak out about this. You have waited 9 months for this. The nurses will show you some breathing exercises that will help during contractions. Dont listen to all the horror stories you hear. Now take some deep breaths, relax and get some sleep~~sara
it will be fine just rember it wont last forever yes it will hurt some..but i promise as soon as u hold that baby that pain will be gone...im scared of everything and yet i had 2 kids..the second was more scary cause i knew kinda what to expect..all in all though everything turned out ok,,when i went into the hosptial it was casue they induced me and i was so nervouse i couldnt sleep..there is meds they can give u thats safe to take to help u sleep before u can get ur eppie if its not time for it also if u are hurting before its time for ur eppie dont be scared to tell them..they can give u a pain shot to help with the pain..thats what i did and they did it also..casue they would not give my eppie till i was at a 4 and i was being induced so the contractions were worse then normal...but yes alll u have to do is speak up..tell ur doctor at ur visites what u are feeling ask qustions they can help ease ur mind thats what they are there fro anyways...and yes women have been doing this forever..and no nothing will stop baby from coming..and when it is time..u will want to push through the pain cause thats the urge thats there and u cant stop it from happing..look at the up side thats holding that baby for the frist time..its called labor of love for a reason..u will do fine...promise
girl, you are going to be FINE! Women have been giving birth since.....well, forever! lol. Labor *****, no getting around it, but thats what epidurals are for! Hopefully you wont have to have a c-section. They su@k! And they give you...you guessed it....narcs. :( Double trouble. You can't stop it from coming, you wouldn't want to anyway, thats how your sweet baby girl will arrive! Worrying about it isnt going to keep it from happening and its not good for baby. So relax. Its SO totally worth it in the end!
