Soo tired day 4

Hey guys.. Day four off tramafol. Ugh I am so tired today and have restless legs again! I just want to go outside and go for a fun but I don't have any energy! Vacuuming took everything I had! This is day four. As bad as I feel I will never touch another tramadol again it is a horrible evil drug! I hope I can do this!!!

The RLS will go away. Take a hot shower and let the water hit the limb that is acting up. It helps. Believe me. I do it all the time. Middle of the night sometimes. But I have had it for years.

Your doing great!!  Keep it up.

All done
The rls just *****...I don't get it constantly but still at day 14 I am suffering insomnia and the rls comes on in the wee hurts of the morning as I try desperately to sleep....I hate rls....I hate rls.....

I would rather be in pain than rls....it is maddening

That is entirely YOUR opinion and I disagree with you. You said, "a dose of reality is needed on this site."   You are not the purveyor of what is real.

Trams are harsh, and you might not ever quite feel "normal" again mentally. Obviously this is different depending on the pesron.

But experience has taught me that your brain is rewired, and your depression never quite heals.

Sorry if this is not quite what you need to hear, but a dose of reality on this site is needed. Not everyone always eventually feels better. Sometimes the downside of recovery needs to be told in a raw way.

My intentions of this post are meant to be real, though they seem raw and non-supporting. But telling you how it could be is better that painting a pic of happy recovery, and reality is hard to hear.

Drink lots of gator aid,  even pedealite for kids is good.  I can feel it when I drink it, it's like a boost of energy.
Hang in there, each day does get better, granted there will be rough days but nothing as bad as the first week

I too just want to encourage you to hang in there it's all worth it. And remember "this to shall pass". Sleep will come. Energy will come. Just don't give up. It could be just around the Corner but more likely a little more each day. But it will come. God Bless you.

I to am  weaning from tram and lort. Have done this before and it's bad until the rls is gone. I never could sleep no matter how long I was off of them but I found advice on here fit neurotin and over the counter rls meds and lots of water and gatoraide . I'm just not wanting to have to take the neurotin to sleep for the rest of my life ya know. I'm a nurse and work 12_16 hour shifts never hardly getting the chance to even sit down. It's hard but we can do this!

Hey guys, 29 days today for me. I want you all to know that this can be done, I'm the biggest addict I know and I made it this far. It has been one hellofa journey bit by the grace of God here I am. This site has many wonderful people who I never met that cares so much. We want to see you succeed even if it is only for a day.
I recommend as much walking,  good music and hot baths (use Irish Spring, idk what it is but it's soothing,  I even started placing it under my sheets as I sleep), it will help to not only force the toxins out but it helps to pass the time.
I'm praying for all the newcomers here, you're not alone on this journey.

Yep, you can do this because you can't go back to the trams.  You know where that leads.  Vickie has given you excellent advice, spiritually and physically.  Keep posting.

Cheers,

Larry

Hello & Welcome.
Congratulations on your time!
YOU CAN DO IT!!!
Time & Patience is what it takes for the Brain Chems and the Body to balance back.
Stick around and we sure will cheer you on all the way. WE all have been there in some point of our own Recovery. The detox is the easy part (yes it suckkks) but working on staying clean will take all you can give it..Work & Changes have to happen..Nothing changes if nothing changes. Hold onto that Faith and with that will come some more Experience and Hope for a better future. DRINK lots & lots of water to help flush this all out. Make sure you eat very Healthy and take vit/min. We have to replenish back what we have lost. Antioxidants are wonderful and you can get it from berries and so forth. Get those Electrolytes going again too. I wish you the best.
Bless
Vickie
