Oops sorry didn't realize how old this thread was.
the reason ur prior dose matters in reation to the sub is it lends an idea to ur tolerence..which is often what a sub dose is based on....for instance a 100 mg hydro user is not gonna need as much sub as a 400 mg oxy uer or a heroin abuser..drs often start people out on too high a dose...communicating with him is important....a friend took 16 mgs as ordered per md...she was a 120 mg oxy user...she was sick for 2 days due to the half life of sub being so long...and it could also be u r not on enuf and experiencing wds..without a dose it is hard to say..it sounds as if u were jumping around to take what u could get.. 100-120 mg a day//on average? if trams could stop ur narcotic wd, then ur tolerrence is not super high..and 8 mgs is probably too much....it could also mean u r having side effects from the sub...call ur dr if u feel any worse..let them know and let them give u instructions as they should be on call..everyone is different and there is no way to know for sure..but i am gonna guess//only a guess//that ur dose is too hgh..sub packs some potency/extremely powerful and a drug some can take just a sliver and stay outa wds if they were a low mg/hyfdro user..educate urself on what u r taking google it and learn...u need to know what u r putting in ur body at all times
Baically, A medication's half-life is the time it takes for the concentration of a drug to reach half of its original concentration. More simply put, the half-life of a drug is how long it takes for half of it to be eliminated from the bloodstream.
What does that mean? I have heard that alot about suboxone and dont know what it is..The long half life? what is half life? What is it referring to? I had never heard of suboxone untill a few days ago..Thanks!
I experienced so many side effects, I would not even begin to know where to start. A couple of things: severe headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting and a huge spike in my blood pressure. I called the doctor immediately and he told what to do but as you know, Suboxone has such a long half life, it took me days to get to feel even somewhat "normal".
didnt know i needed to give my doc..It was any type of codeine anywhere from oxycodone oxycontin to tylenol 3's whatever type I could get my hand on at the moment..Also tramadol...Another symptom I am having is my body hurts all over..
I know there are no dr's on here and i need to ask him, all i want to know is if someone has taken this before and experianced these side effects
Again i wasnt asking someone to tell me what dose to take,,I was asking if anyone had a similar experience with this and what the outcome was..This is my way of "getting it out" if you will..Because it is my experience on these forums that you can ask these sorts of things hoping to find someone who had the same experience..No disrespect to you at all. I have posted before and so have many others asking similar questions and they were answered with advice and opionions and that is the way it has been for a year that I have been on here..I understand you trying to help, and I will discuss it with my dr..I just want opionions on what other people think about what I am experiencing,..I know I need to talk with my doctor, that is without question, but this forum is not for that..so thanks anyways
We are not drs...and no one can know what u r experiencing..u didnt even giv ur doc or dose before u were on sub...often the sub dose is too high when people feel drowsy..but this is sumpin u need to take up with ur dr
I did not think you were being rude. I was trying to get you to call your doctor since it is late on Friday. No one here can give you dosing instructions or tell you that your should adjust your dose. It is against our guidelines, besides we are not qualified to do that. It is dangerous.
I did a Suboxone treatment program and again, that is why I am trying to get you to call your doctor.
You will all the support in the world here but not with that particular question.
I am sorry if you misunderstood what I was saying.
No not impatient just needing advice..It does not matter if you are or are not a doctor, this site is for support and advice..So if you have not had this experience then you should not post an answer unless it is kind and patient..I was by no means being rude so i would expect the same from you..We are all here for the same reasons and it is not neccessary to reply if you do not have an answer..I was looking for other peoples experiances on sub not their childish remarks..but thanks anyways and i hope your journey is a successful one.
Hi,
I see you are becoming impatient but please realize that no one here could possibly know what is going on with you. Everyone reacts differently to Suboxone. Please phone your prescribing physician and tell them what is going on. It does sound like you need your dose adjusted, but that would have to be your doctor's call.
Let us know how you are doing
i really need sum advice on this..I am feeling really tired and i blow up over nothing..Could it be that I am withdrawing from opiates and need a stronger dose of sub? or maybe my dose is too strong??
