i need help please

Hello,

I am also ashamed and confused. I am addicted to Norco and tramadol. After I had my first son who is now two years old. The doctors put me on vicodine and tramadol for treatment of arthritis on my spinal cord in between my bones located by my disk. They showed it was growing on the x-rays then after 4 to 5 months they said ok looks like it's gone????????? How is that possible? When I still find myself in pain all the time. My family is very judgmental and some are not but not only am I addicted now 6 months pregnant with my second son I am very scared, confused, depressed and scared to tell my doctors because last time I tried to open up to a new doctor she treated me as if I was a crack head or something and I switched doctors now how do I tell the new doctors??? Will they take my baby from me??????  Oh also I do smoke cigs I know its bad, and since I opened up my new business I don’t eat as good. And my mom doses not help by yelling at it and me makes me stress. Which is weird that she yells at me since she says that stress is the number one killer. And I am a single mom, I just need a positive honest answer please someone help me I feel like am going crazy.

Yes, talk with your doctor, and if they do not like what they hear- too bad.

The health of your baby is in jeopardy.  This is precisely what doctors are for.  Healing.

You are making a good choice by coming here and getting serious about recovery.  It is not easy, but if you can make good choices and get through this- you will have the reward or a lifetime with your new, healthy son or daughter.

Please communicate with your doctor in the most honest fashion.  You can do this, in fact, you are already on your way!

welcome to the forum.. you did the right thing by informing your Dr. and I was sorry to read you were treated so poorly.. but you have to be honest with your new Dr. if not the babe will be addicted and cps could get involved.. You were taking them for a legit reason and were put on them by a Dr. explain the situation. you will not be the first to become hooked to opiates while taking them legally.. although you do not state that you abuse. Most addicts do.. Please do not be scared just do what needs to be done under a Dr.'s care.. keep reaching out for support and make that app. ok  Be kind to you both and I wish you well.. lesa
