Tamadol

Is Tramadol an Opiate and is it stronger then hydrocodone? Anyone with advice concerning this drug HELP. Thanks

tramadol is a synthetic opioid that is only a little stronger than codeine, but it also has other actions, which may aid in relieving pain for individuals. When taken it also acts as a rapidly acting SNRI anti-depressant and is a strong one, but only last around ten hrs. It is addictive but you have to take it for at least a few months at relatively high doses to have bad wds but if that ends up being the case you could have seizures cuz it is known for doing that during severe wds. So its less effective than hydrocodone but more effective than codeine.

I have to agree with whop, if you haven't already taken tramadol....DON'T TAKE IT! I only started taking it around 8 months ago and i'm already hooked. I am on 10...50mg capsules per day now and i can't get off them and i'm dreading my doctor stopping them one day. The withdrawls are awful as i've tried to stop. tried to go cold turkey twice and i had severe flu like symptoms, sweating, crawling skin, heavy head, and worst of all (for me anyway) an uncontrollable tensing in my back which drives me crazy, i can't sleep because of it. If i had known then what i know now, i wouldn't have touched it. I really don't know where i go from here.

TRAMADOL IS VERY VERY ADDICTIVE! I USED TO TAKE VICODIN THEN THEY CHANGED ME TO TRAMADOL AND I HAVE BEEN ADDICTED OVER 10 YRS NOW.  TRAMADOL IS NOT A NARCOTIC SO IT IS PRESCRIBED LIKE CANDY BUT IT IS VERY ADDICTIVE! SAVE YOURSELF THE MISERY PLEASE!  AND YES TRAMADOL GIVES YOU A HIGH JUST LIKE VICODIN BUT MUCH LONGER. BUT U WILL HAVE TO TAKE MUCH MORE TO KEEP GETTING HIGH WHICH IS DEADLY!  JUST DO NOT TAKE IT!!!! DR's DO NOT KNOW IT ALL!  THEY EVEN TOLD ME THAT TRAMADOL WAS NOT ADDICTIVE HA SURE!  DR's NEED TO BE BETTER INFORMED OF THIS DRUG CAUSE IT HAS RUINED MANY MANY LIVES!!!!!! JUST TAKE ADVIL OR IBPROFEN!

Tramadol is not an opiate. It performs like an opiate. It isn't stronger than hydrocodone. Tramadol can be addicting too
