I always got my DOC by script.  Is there really that much out there to be purchased on the street.  How the f'k do the dealers get them?  Are they breaking into warehouses?

It never crossed my mind to get them anywhere but from my Dr., but I can understand if you don't have insurance, that's near impossible.  I have done some travelling and had to get my script early and pay for it and it cost me around 50 bucks for a 10 day supply.

I understand that cocaine is made in the jungles and then illegally brought here.  Are the opioids that are sold on the street of the same type of origin, made somewhere???

Sorry to sound like such a neophite but I'm wanting to know.

As a post script:  there is a high school in my area that is dubbed as a "pharmacy" because the kids raid their parents medicine cabinets and sell.  What a f'd up world we are living in right now.

Most of the pills for sale that I know of are paid for by medicaid or medicare and sold for extra income. So we pay twice. First with our taxes, then to the seller who pays nothing for them. It always made me kind of mad but... I'm an addict so I bought them anyway. I was actuslly addicted to methadone from the street before I went to a clinic. How stupid am I?

I don't even know how to get a doctor to prescribe me pills...i've tried and they thought I was just trying to get pills to do recreationally....every doctor I've seen wouldn't give me anything...had to get them off the streets....doctors round here know our games....there's too many young addicts to even handle...so the ppl with the real pain and problems can't even get anything when they need it. It's just gone way too far...almost everyone I know is addicted to pills. I've had to lose so many friends and have learned who my real friends are when it's all said and done.

If there is a will there is a way...both of the people i knew that sold them went to the doctor and the scrops were for them...but they were smart enuf not to take them...made a pile of money tho.....scrip for 180 hydro 10s a month would go for over a thousand bux

Like shock me ,when I would run out of mine,my dealer also got his from an insider in the pharmaceutical company.Every few days the guy would drop off huge pharmacy bottles of vicodin and oxy's.My dealer would pay a flat fee and then would make a fortune off of selling the pills.In my area there are also alot of doctors that people refer to as 'writers'. You go in tell the 'doctor' what you want and he gives you the script.Of course you always pay cash for the visit and the script.My dealer got his basement remodeled and paid for the labor with pills.I'm so glad I'm done with all that.Peace.

I too got mine from doctors...... You did notice the s on the end.....Never would have purchased them online-didn't know they did that until I came on Medhelp....Also no dealer as it would be a little embarassing to be busted by your husband.  I think I always thought that  if I got them at a doctor office, I convinced myself that it was okay......Your mind sure does funny things to you, very deceiving.

ive only ever bought them off the streets. whats happening is that the dealers that are selling weed and so on  are make connections with people that are prescribed oxy's. These people are selling there scripts and making a big time profit. you said there for fiffty bucks u get a 10 day supply? well on the street at least where i come from one 40mg oxy costs anywhere from 20-25 bucks. The dealer buys it from the person its prescribed for and then the dealer marks up the price. So becus the original person is making a profit there going to keep going to there doctor and tell them that they still need it and may even tell the dr that they are getting worse. the dr ups the dosage and bang bigger profit for the person, more product for the dealer which leads to bigger profit for the dealer and the poor suckers that are buying it are getting more and more addicted which in my mind is what leads to more crime. I saw on the news a little while ago about some 20 something years olds who broke into an old mans house to get his oxycontin. The world out there is crazy and becoming crazier.

I got mine off the street also. My dealer would get hundreds of pills every few days from his dealer, who had a virtual endless supply ranging in the thousands. Apparently they were coming directly from an insider in the pharmaceutical company who produced the pills. Whether this story is totally accurate or not, there is no doubt there is some serious high level crime going on.

just to add on ....most people who are actually prescribed the medicine do sell them. thats how i got mine my aunts husband will get them for life so they would sell me some but now they must have caught on because he can only get a refill if a certain amount of time has passed i thought it was becuz i was buyin them that he would run out but my aunt said no never that HE just takes too many.........

WOW what crazy stories I was going about it all wrong lol. I never thought they came from other countries though, or people where paying other people to go to the dr holy cow. There was a dr by me who got busted for that though I felt so bad for all the patients who were addicted to high doses and now had no where to go

i have been snorting percs for over 4 yrs. i was in a bad car wreck almost 5 yrs ago i was getting the oxy 20 x3 daily and 5/325 x4 for breakthrough pain that went on for 6 months then i broke down and just ask the dr. for the percocets i truely didnt care much for the oxys they made me doze,but anyway i was then getting the 5/325 x4-5 times daily ok that worked great got those for another 6 months then he has droped me down tfrom 160 5/325 a month to 240/ 512swell they got me a friend turned me on to the snorting and its been all down hill ever since. i get 120/512s a month for life but i was going through them in a week snorting (never snorted the oxys) so this leaves 3 weeks no percs, ok between my friends letting me buy their scripts i could get 120 for $100.00  but here in nc where im at the 512 go as high as $5.oo per pill and the 10's go as high as $10.00 a pill i dont pay those prices but there is plenty of people that do!!!! for real. if i couldnt get a scrip a week i paid$ 2.00 for the 512's and $4.00 for the 10's. i have gotten some of the bigger scripts say 240 for 175.00 turn around and sell 40/ 512 for $200.00 i make $25.00 cash plus i had 200 512's left for free!!!!! the 10'sa script of 240 i paid $350.00 sold 40 at $10.00 for $400.00 thats $50.00in free cash plus the 200 pills for free so that how i keep a large supply on hand always i already had a bottle with my name on them so all i had to watch was who i sold to. and trust me that was only 5 people that i dealt with im not proud of this now but at the time i was smelling like a rose whenit was all said and done!!!!! this is a very very good trade here in sanford nc there is plenty of pill around here plenty. but i dont have to deal with any of this no more! thanks to med help and the friends i have made it has saved my life and i thank you all so much for getting me this far 38 days clean i havent been clean of narco's for 20 years. i thank you all from the bottom of my heart!!!! lots of  love to all and best of luck to those trying to getand or stay clean!!!     sherri

You guys are so right. I know the time before last, My Dr asked me if I was selling my RX. I looked him right in the face and said, No wish I was... Guess that was my way of saying I was addicted to them..... Happy to say, there will be no more Rx...

i got mine off the street :(  the dealer i got mine from had about 50 ppl she took to the dr each mont.  she paid for them to go, gave them some pills or pills and money, or just money for their time.  she knows the dr too.  she paid for them to all have mri's so they can get a script of 120 oc's 80 and roxies and somas or xanabars.  she takes them all and sells them.....

I always got mine by scrip by the same doctor.  Never bought off the street..wouldn't know how..where would I go?  I could never think of doing that nor could I think of selling the ones I got by scrip.

Some legit scripts are diverted for money....some are forgeries (thats dying out) .... many are smuggled from more lenient countries (Mexico, South America, India) ....some are actually manufactured by the same Columbian /  Equadorian labs that brought you counterfeit qualudes in the 80's......where the profit margin is high enough - a  way will be found.

I only got scrips to, but yes they do rob wareshouses and pharmacies too. Usually (i dont know if its different where u live though) people get the scrips and sell them instead of taking them. Thats such a problem where I am alot of drs dont write them anymore its much harder to get scrips now than it used to be (part of the reason is addiction to of course). I know a few people who sell pills but I would never buy them because it really bothers me that they do that it makes people who have real pain have a harder time to get scrips that they need.

I'm the same way. I only got them by prescription. Not online, just from my dentist.
So I'm just as clueless as you are!

I have heard that on the news about high school kids raiding their parents medicine cabinets. My mom only had aspirin so I don't think I'd have fit into that crowd.
