This is only day 2!!!! Been through this before! HELP! Need to talk!
Ok guys, I need help...I've been through this before. I've been taking Ultracet for 6 years on and off, mostly on. I take 10-20 pills a day, hide it from everyone in my life, literlly no one knows. It would mean divorce at this point. I thought yesterday that I woiuld taper, so I took 5 pills and it sucked!! Could hardley get through the night with what I call the heebee-geebee's I've gone cold turkey before I know every new day (except for the first 3) it get's better. Today I decided cold turkey after reading these boards. The last pill I had was about 4:00 yesterday and I had to call in sick to work today, I feel like such crap. I have to work the next 2 days, I HAVE to, please help me through this. Tonight is going to be hell. Should I get through the night cold turkey and take pills to get through work the next two days, or suck it up and get through it,,, AAHHH what to do. Should I take advantage of work & my hubby thinking I'm really sick and stay hm or you guys think I can work?
with opiate withdraw you may feel like you are dieng but your not know one has ever died from opiate wd, now overdose yes but not w/d. Benzos you CAN NOT stop on your own seizures will come with 36-72 hours and believe me you do not want that death is no laughing matter and if try to do this alone you are walking a very very fine line. Please get help and taper.

I am sorry to say but everytime you take more pills you are just starting the hell all over again. You CAN do this, as you can see here many people have and we are all here for you! Yes it will suck for a few days but I promise life is so much better clean. Keep posting, there are wonderful people here for you!!
REALLY TRYING tramadol is NOT like oxy there are risks coming off of it that are NOT the same as oxys ... Tramadol works as an anti depressant as well so Its like come off to different drugs at the same time ..

I'm not really sure what roxicodone is, but I wouldn't mess around with chest pains, unless someone else tells you it's normal and know what roxicodone is and the side effects from w/d I would check the chest pain out with a dr. I wouldn't take the Tylenol 3 unless you have to, don't change one drug for another. I'm not sure what kind of pain you are in but be carefull and be strong.

do you have an RX for yours or get them elsewhere? Is there any way to get a few more so you can do a proper taper? or is 20 pills all you can have? If you cant get more to do a taper then I would at least use those last 20 to do a half-assed tapering and hope for the best. Hopefully some of the people here that have used tramadol will jump in soon and help. I never abused tram (my doc was vicodin/opiate pills) but Ive learned so much from being here, and i have also been RX'd them in the past but didnt use them cuz they didnt help my pain. But i did do my research and learn. We have seen members here that had seizures. A regular poster here just went through this with a close friend a couple months ago (WORRIED is her name here).
Im 27 years old, and have been taking roxicodone since last october, and with the last two weeks I had got really bad. I took 40 30mg in a two week period, and now Im done with taking them. This is my second day clean off them, and I have had bad chest pains. Is that normal? I went to the hospital the other day because I have bad teeth pain and they gave me tylenol 3 with codeine. I have been taking 1 every 6 hours. Do you think that should help with the withdrawl
I'm not sure what Ultacet is and you have been taking them for a while. Since you take so many you may want to taper,. I know that I just said get rid of them but I should of read your post more carefully. First tell me what Ultracet is I would hate to advise you to chuck them all if you can't handle the detox. I was taking 5-8 percocet a day for 2-3 years and stopped in Nov for one month and then caved ( big mistake ).so I'm trying again. If I was taking 20 percocets for 6 years I don't think i could quit c/t unless I was at home.

ON Wed night I took them all so I would have none the next day. If I had any I would be tempted and take them as soon as the w/d started, I know for sure. If you can handle work go in, the first time I called in sick for three days, this time I haven't once yet. I feel crappy today but I'm hoping being at work and being tired might help me sleep. Even if you can call in sick one day, as you know everyday gets better. What a nighmare we created for ourselves!!

ITA with avis...just cuz you havent had a seizure yet doesnt mean you are in the clear! Consider yourself lucky thusfar but dont have false hope that you can get through yet another CT WD and not suffer a seizure. Tramadol is a strange drug, very unlike other opiates/opiods when discontinuing it. It also possesses anti-depressant qualities and binds to different receptors in your brain that regular opiates dont. The longer you have been on this drug and the higher the dose, the more difficulties you could encounter when WD'ing. Youve been playing with fire a lot with this drug now and I wouldnt take any more chances. I would most definitely employ a taper and titrate yourself down on them instead of CT'ing it again. We arent trying to scare you here- we have seen a lot of things both in real life/personal experiences and on this forum- the risk of a massive seizure is very real with tramadol WD. I hope you will be able to work something out. Keep reading here and posting for information and support. we are here for you.

I would just stop, if you take the pills tomorrow the next day you will be in the same spot. You can't escape w/d and it's amazing how many people hide this from family and have to work going through w/d. You can get through it. At home say you have the flu, can you call in sick one or two days then you will past the worst. If not just keep your mind strong. I'm at work typing this , on day 2 and feeling awful. Little sleep..I planned this so I would be on day three at home on the weekend. Good luck we are here for you
They are 50mg pills so 500-1000mg a day, a lot I know. So tell me how to taper? I hv no one to go to, please help. I have only 20 pills left and I really want to flush them and I hv no access to any more. How should I space them out?I have to get through work the next 2 days (if I physically can) I have no choice. Will full blown WD come anyway after the taper? Cause I've been through WD on a much lower dosage and a higher dosage and they seemed just as bad (in my cloudy memory) God I can hardley type. This is my only day off, should I suck it up today and take a pill tomorrow, I'm all confused!
I found that wd was not nearly as bad when I tapered down .Just because u didn't have seizures last time does mean it wont happen another time ..what is the avg dose you take a day when you taper the idea is not to take so much that you get high but just enough to keep you out of full blown WDs .
Really..., I've done the CT before and I didn't hv seizures or anything like that, but Here's the thing or the question I have about tappering. After the 5 days, let's say, of tappering...am I then going to go through another 5 days of withdrawel when I stop completely. I only want 1 WD series, the faster the better right? I don't know, is it any less painfull to taper?
You should not be CTing off of tramadol you are on a high dose and very well could have sezuires ... you would be far better of if you tapered down but going from 2 to 5 in one day is way to fast ...
and no matter how bad the WDs get your body will have to sleep eventually, i had 30 min of sleep the night before last and last night got 5 hours. im on day 5 and feeling sooo much better. good luck man.
my advice, suck it up and get through it. the days will suck NO MATTER WHAT, ive worked through WDs before and it honestly killed time and kept my mind off it. just pack deoderant and clean undershirts. lol. i always sweated like crazy at work and i hate smelling. no faster way to get over the painfull part then to start now. thats my advice anyways.
