Tramadol Withdrawel

Hi! I am trying to get off this awful stuff but I have tried this before and I only lasted a day because off all the withdrawel symptons.I could not sleep that night at all and it felt like my legs had a mind of their own with not being able to stay still  long enough to fall asleep.I felt Absolutely horrible the next day.I think that I will never ever be able to get off this stuff as I have an addictive personality and I am also on other medication for depression and anxiety so all in all I can not detox and lose the other medication.I am trying to find out what I can do to help with the Withdrawel symptons but there are alot of different and conflicting Ideas on this sight and I thought maybe someone could help me wiegh through all of these I deas.Thank you soo much!!

Tramadol can be difficult (but not impossible) to get off. And because of its anti depressant properties it is best done with tapering. I am curious how much were you taking and for how long. That can make a big difference on whether you can just go cold turkey or if you need to taper...also many anxiety meds are addicting and tend to be abused. Are you taking those just as prescribed since you say you have an "addictive" personality? It is possible to be free of tramadol but for best results you have to want it and you need to do it safetly! Good luck.

Hey, probably the best thing to do is speak to a doctor.  I stopped them last year, so it can be done, but you have to have your mind made up, and put the negative "I can't" comments out of your head.  I'd say that needs to be your first step.  As far as detox, you can get otc stuff to help some of the symptoms.

Honestly, it comes down to how bad do you want off of them? : )

yes everyone has their opinion on what helps i jsut thrrew a bunch of it together and tried it. I have a prob with percocet and most everyone on this site does too but i NEVER downplay tramadol i know how bad it can be. For the restless legs u can eat LOTS of banannas also there is a otc med called highlands restless legs (wal-greens or wal-mart) that works well or u can try cal-mag vitamin and any potassium i hear u on the restless legs i got to day 4 when it started it was by far the WORSE symptom I had it is what made me relapse at day 7 :( i finally could not take it as i did not sleep for 2 days... Now i have to do day 1 all over again and it is KILLING me... I feel like i failed if i could have just hung in there i would be past 2 weeks now. So that is my number 1 advise dont EVER make urself have to do day 1 over again... it does get better bottom line we have to get off this crap and reclaim our lives look up the thomas recipe lots of pwople swear by it.I wish u the best and u can do this u jsut have to get seriou and get rid off ALL pills and ANY access to them as long as they are available we can NOT do it... keep posting here blessings to u
