Weaning off vicodin

I have had two cervical spine surgeries, eleven months apart.  I have been weaning myself down off vics for about three weeks now.  Went from 8-10 750's and kept stepping down to 1 750 for four days now. I have had severe muscle aches and fatigue for three weeks now...when will this finally stop?  I'm tired of being miserable.

I'm trying to get my ortho surgeon to refer me to a clinic for methadone.  I also know a doctor who rx's suboxone.  I just wanna get this over with but I also worry about having pain when the weather turns cold or if I over do it and have a bad pain day.

I know it's not my fault that I am addicted.  I had to have the meds to make it thru recovering from the two surgeries.  The sad thing is my son is in a state jail rehab facility getting treatment for opiate abuse.  Now, here I am...trying to get off of opiates.  He had a problem way before I had surgery.

I feel so weak for having to take at least one to get thru the day and wonder how long it will be before I can quit taking one without feeling horrible?  Or am I just putting off having to bite the bullet and will feel even worse when I stop taking the one a day?

I'm really not wanting to take methadone or suboxone and then having a problem getting off of that.

75 mg of hydro is not a normal dose to use sub...have u tried by yourself yet...it would be a good idea at a low dose on a comparably weak opiate...to try by yourself without resorting to a stronger narc like sub or methadone...why move backward...move forward if u can

The 750 is the amount of tylenol in the pill .. how much hydro did it have in it 5 or,7.5 or10

I would not consider going on methadone with the amount you are using .Unless you have tried unsuccessfully to go off the hydro I would think twice about the sub .tapering is an idea or even CTing .you can do this .Plz do  ALOT of research of both methadone and sub .read the posts of people that have taken them .

I am on 750/325....7.5 is the hydroconone 325 is the tylenol.  I am really tired of feeling sick and miserable and want to know if that feeling will get worse when I don't take that one a day and about how long can I expect it to last?
