methadone mgs???

im on 10mgs of methadone...when i started methadone the dock started me on 3-- 5mgs aday....then raised it..but i said i,ll stay at the 15 mgs and it worked...so i came down 5 mgs this week to 10mgs,and paid for it  for 5 hell days..going to try to get to 7.5 then stabilize there..im on it for pain!!   when i was on 120 mgs the last time it took all pain away,but drained me...i have troubles sleeping on it.....to me the less dose is the best dose.....is 10mgs considered high dose??                  THANK  YOU ALL IN ADVANCE             JAMES

10mgs is a very low dose for methadone, especially for pain relief as worried said. Just be careful if you become more tolerant to the med that your dose doesnt get out of control. Sounds like you've had some experience being on a much higher dose and by all means if you can get the relief you need then less is always better. Take care.

no...even 20 mgs is not considered a high dose...10 mgs is a low dose especially for pain relief...u know being a chronic pain patient and if u r out of pain on them and not abusing or anything..to me this is a very acceptable dose..just as u know..dont creep up on those puppies...do u have an addiction problem of any sort in the past?
